Jacquie Lee and her new Jersey attitude – “I just wanted to make everyone proud,” said Lee, moments after performing at a Clear Scalp and Hair showcase in downtown Manhattan in April. “Between me and Caroline Pennell (of Saddle River), who’s my really close friend on ‘The Voice,’ we were really just ourselves, and I felt that brought the Jersey to ‘The Voice.’ We were just really stoked, trying to make everyone home proud, and it was an honor to have everyone on our side.” – Read more at APP.com

Exclusive: ‘X Factor’ Alum Astro Talks New Film ‘Earth To Echo’ – What do you hope people will take from the movie? I hope people just have a good time watching it. I think it’s mainly about friendship, although there’s an alien like Echo in there, but it’s really about friendship and just coming together to achieve something great. I think that’s what it’s mainly about and for the older generations it’ll bring back memories of like “E.T.,” and “Goonies.” For the younger generations it’s easier to relate to because we’re filming the whole movie on our smart phones and technology is very relevant in the film. – Read more at The Source

Darren Criss Performs at Prop 8 Plaintiffs Wedding

Remember when we covered the live production of 8, about the trial to overturn Prop 8 in California?  Two of the plaintiffs in the case, Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo were married last night in Los Angeles. Darren Criss sang during the “mothers dance.”  Darren was in the audience of 8 to cheer on his fellow Glee stars, Chris Colfer and Matt Morrison (he played Paul Katami,  Matt Bomer was Jeff Zarrillo) and met Paul, who was also in the audience, afterward.

Lifetime’s Aaliyah Biopic ‘On Hold,’ Star Zendaya Coleman Exits – Weeks after unveiling a planned Aaliyah biopic, star Zendaya Coleman has exited the Lifetime project. “We are sad Zendaya will no longer portray Aaliyah. Production is currently on hold,” Lifetime wrote in a statement posted on its Twitter account on Sunday. A network rep did not comment further. Coleman, a Disney Channel star, was cast in the lead role as the R&B singer. The actress and singer was to record four of the songs that would’ve appeared in the movie. The project, titled Aaliyah:Princess of R&B, was to begin filming over the summer with a fall premiere date planned. The script for the biopic was based on a book Aaliyah: More Than a Woman, by Christopher Farley. After the announcement by Lifetime of the biopic on June 16, the family of Aaliyah pushed back against the project in multiple reports. – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter
