Candice Glover to perform at October USCB homecoming concert – Lowcountry native and “American Idol” winner Candice Glover will perform during homecoming weekend at the University of South Carolina Beaufort on Oct. 4. Glover’s concert will take place on the Hilton Head Gateway campus in Bluffton. ‘Voice’ activated: Reigning champ Josh Kaufman leads nationwide tour of NBC show – He wasn’t very familiar with reality television when he drove from Indianapolis to St. Louis last July for his audition. “I never watch much of those shows,” Kaufman told The Sun in a recent phone interview just before the start of tour rehearsals. “I don’t watch much of anything on TV, to be honest. I pretty much watch ESPN and kids shows.” But he had watched a little of The Voice. “It seemed more interesting than American Idol or other shows. I liked the format. New Orleans ‘American Idol’ auditions 2014: Is the next superstar singer one of us? – The “American Idol” auditions roadshow comes to New Orleans on Wednesday (June 25), with an all-day open-call hootenanny scheduled for Lakefront Arena.
