‘Idol’ Exit Interview: Sam Woolf on the twist that almost saved him (again) – An unexpected turn of events Thursday night took everyone by surprise on American Idol, when the final five contestants had the option to vote for everyone to stay one more week or have another singer go home as usual. Ultimately, Alex Preston and Jena Irene voted against the twist, and after being saved already by the judges earlier this season, Sam Woolf missed an opportunity to be saved again and was eliminated. David Cook Runs in the Race for Hope.

David Cook has been running in the Race For Hope in Washington DC since 2009. On that day, his brother, Adam succumbed to brain cancer. David decided to go ahead and run that race in his memory, and has participated in the event, which raises funds to battle brain cancer, ever since.

The White House Correspondents dinner took place last night in Washington DC with Joel McHale of The Soup and Community as host. President Obama gave one of the keynote speeches.
