‘America’s Got Talent’ Has A Secret: Oddballs Welcome – “AGT,” as it is often called, isn’t immune from some of those trends. But the people behind the show think it has something that can keep it going for a very long time: A willingness to embrace the oddball. “You do get the loveable kook who could break through,” said Howard Stern, who has been a judge on the program since 2012, in an interview. “AGT” has hosted any number of eccentric acts, whether it be contestants who jump barefoot onto broken glass, or a hopeful who dressed up as a pancreas. – Read more at Variety

Andi Dorfman’s Bachelorette Blog: Sad, Raunchy and Sweet – All in One Episode – As excited as I am to start watching the dates, this episode was obviously tough because of the tragic loss of Eric. I remember that first date so vividly, and to be honest, I cannot bring myself to watch it back. I am really happy, though, that you get to watch and see the Eric that we were blessed to have met. Eric led a life that many of us strive for but few actually do. I’ll never forget wanting to impress Eric as much as I could on that first date. I mean, after all, he was a handsome, humble world traveler who did some pretty incredible things, so I was hoping he would love this adventure just as much. And he did! I will never forget how happy he was and the smile he had on his face at the beach, in the helicopter and snowboarding. For a guy who had seen the world, he enjoyed the simplest things, like building a sandcastle and drinking hot chocolate. I can look back and know that even though we may not have traveled to another continent or some far-off land, we had an adventure of our own that day! – Read more at People

Riverfest Organizers Refuse Full Payment to Cee-Lo Green – LITTLE ROCK,AR–Citing a short performance, Riverfest organizers are refusing to pay musician Cee-Lo Green half of his fee for his Saturday night performance. Organizers say the Grammy Award-winning crooner performed for roughly 45 minutes when his contract stated he would perform for 75-90 minutes. Cee-Lo received half of his payment before hitting the stage in downtown Little Rock and was set to receive the other half once he fulfilled his contractual obligations. Upset fans took to the festival’s Facebook page to express disappointment with what they considered a tardy and abbreviated show and organizers responded with a statement apologizing to concert-goers saying they too were upset and disappointed with his show and would address it from a “financial standpoint.” – Read more at Arkansas Matters
