Wells Fargo will sponsor the event, directed, produced and written by Luke Yankee. Recording Artist Danny Gokey, Second Harvest Food Bank and UnitedHealthcare Fight Hunger in Middle Tennessee – NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Recording artist and American Idol alum Danny Gokey and volunteers from UnitedHealthcare today will staff a Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee Mobile Pantry. The volunteer project follows UnitedHealthcare’s recent $100,000 donation to Second Harvest that will help bring food to more than 10,000 hungry children, families and seniors by funding 40 Mobile Pantry deliveries throughout middle Tennessee. The event will take place at Sophia’s Heart Compassion Nashville, the nonprofit Gokey founded in 2008 in honor of his late wife, Sophia. – Read more at Fort Mill Times

American Idol alum, Angie Miller, was recently in Asia to do promotion for FOX. She recently released part 2 in a series of videos chronicling her adventures there. “What’s up Dreamers! I’m really glad you all enjoyed the first episode! The first two days in Thailand were so crazy busy. So much happened. It was A LOT of fun, but extremely exhausting. Kellie Pickler: “I Don’t Say ‘Diet'” – If you’re not familiar with Kellie Pickler from her American Idol days or because of her chart-topping country hits, you probably know how she shaved her head in September 2012 to support a friend going through breast cancer. Pickler is big on supporting causes close to her heart, from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to Lung Force, a national movement designed to unite women against lung cancer. The Voice’s Kristen Merlin: I’m Going to ‘Hit the Ground Running – Kristen Merlin connected with the judges and her Voice fans with her energy on stage and her ability to emotionally relate to every song. The Boston-based pop-country singer made it to the Top 5 round this week, but didn’t receive enough fan votes to save her from elimination. Still, Merlin is convinced The Voice will be her launching pad into a successful music career.
