Kellie Pickler Nominates Katharine McPhee for Dancing with the Stars – She’s made the reality television leap from singing on season 5 of American Idol to tearing up the parquet each week on Dancing with the Stars, but even Kellie Pickler thinks there’s an Idol alum she’d rather see getting fake tanned and sequined. Katharine McPhee “would do amazing,” Pickler told PEOPLE while at the 20th Annual Race to Erase MS event in Beverly Hills. “First of all, she’s an amazing performer – obviously a very talented singer,” says Pickler, 26, “but if you’ve seen her show Smash, she’s dancing. Demi Lovato Q&A: On ‘Demi,’ Her ‘X Factor’ Return and Being Sick of Party Songs – There are multiple reasons. When you have the opportunity to be in front of America every single week several times a week, that’s a very incredible opportunity, not only because your fans get to know you better, but… I was on the Disney Channel forever, and was waiting for that right job that would help me cross over to the mainstream world. I was not only in front of my fans every week, but I was also in front of adults. I never used to get recognized by adults, and now when I’m at the airport or the grocery store, the guy behind the register will be like, “I love you on ‘X Factor’!” It’s really awesome to have expanded my fan base. And there’s also how much [‘X Factor’] did for me last year. I learned so much, and I just want to do it again. Read more at Billboard.com

Demi Lovato on Britney & L.A. Leaving ‘X Factor’ – “Of course I was bummed because I loved working with Britney and L.A. is so much fun to sit next to,” Lovato told ETonline’s Jarett Wieselman at Tuesday’s FOX Upfronts. “It’s going to be really interesting to see who ends up being next to [Simon and I at the judges’ table], but for right now it’s kind of cool that that it’s just me and him here today.” “I tried to control so much of it [last season]. I wanted my contestants to wear this and do this. … I needed to relax and just let them be themselves and just have fun,” Lovato assessed. “This year, instead of looking for that overall pop-star package, I’m going to try a different approach and just see if I can find somebody that would do great in the industry but also just have the most incredible voice. That’s what I’m really looking for.” – Read more at Entertainment Tonight

‘Survivor: Caramoan’: Dawn responds to Brenda’s shocking Tribal Council moment and talks about their ‘awkward’ reunion show interaction – Dawn Meehan is not usually the type of person to end up in a controversy. But the bread-baking Mormon mother of six adopted children created a firestorm when she voted off buddy Brenda Lowe on Survivor: Caramoan after Brenda had found her missing fake teeth and tried to bring Dawn with her on a loved ones reward challenge. A revenge-seeking Brenda fired back at last night’s final Tribal Council, as she sought to humiliate her former friend by making her remove her teeth in front of the entire jury (and country watching at home.) We caught up with Dawn to get her take on fans’ volatile reaction to her move as well as Brenda’s retaliation, while also asking her if the positive of making it all the way to the end of the game outweighs the negative of not getting a single jury vote. – Read more at Inside TV
