Kelly Clarkson Feels “Empowered,” Says “Anything Is Possible at This Point” – One unexpected benefit of recording the album while pregnant, Kelly says, was the way she was able to bring extra emotion to the material.
“It is a different thing, it’s hard to describe to people,” she says. “Like, you just feel everything a hundred percent more. Everything is enhanced when you’re pregnant. And there are good and bad points of that, ‘cause when I was feeling sick it would be really bad, but when I wasn’t, you’d get these really raw emotional vocals, and they would just be even more vulnerable than normal, so I loved it.” – Read more at ABC News Radio

NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Interview with Joshua Davis – “It’s an incredible thing. I feel supported,” Davis, who currently lives in Traverse City, told the LSJ. “It’s the way I’ve made my career successful for all these years. The beautiful thing about the Michigan music community is that it’s collaborative. So many people are invested in furthering what we have going on here, which is a unique thing. “But this, to have people be so excited about it and to have that feeling of representing Michigan on this kind of wider scale, it feels really good. It feels important to me, so I’m taking it very seriously, and I want to do my best for Michigan on this bigger stage.” – Read more at Lansing State Journal

Travis Ewing, star of ‘The Voice,’ following musical path – At LSU, Ewing changed his major from pre-med to marketing, which he thought would keep him closer to the music he loved. Ewing was set to graduate in the fall of 2013 before performances in New Orleans earned him Musician of the Year honors from RAW Artists. The title convinced Ewing he was on the right track. “That was really exciting and encouraging for me,” said Ewing. “I needed it at the time because I was getting close to graduating. I was thinking of moving on with marketing instead of music. That was really a big moment in my life. “It just helped reassure me. Every part of this process has been that kind of reassurance, especially with ‘The Voice.’ This is what I’m meant to do. If I give up on this talent, I’m doing a disservice to myself.” – Read more at The Advertiser
