David Archuleta, Michael York to sign after Friday’s Mormon Tabernacle Choir show

Utah’s own “American Idol” David Archuleta will meet his fans and sign copies of his new album, “The Other Side of Down, ” immediately following his performance at the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s Christmas Concert on Friday, Dec. 17.

Multifaceted actor Michael York (below), the narrator at the Choir’s 2010 Christmas concert, will also sign.

The signings will be Friday, Dec. 17 at approximately 9:30 p.m. until 11 p.m.

It will be at Downtown Deseret Book, 45 West South Temple, Salt Lake City

‘Alright With Music’ Fundraiser Honoring American Idol Winner, Kris Allen Exceeds First Week Goal – $14, 000 Raised for Music Empowers Foundation

X-Factor secures highest audience for nine years

The final of The X Factor scored a record-breaking 19.4million viewers on Sunday, making it the highest-rated non-sport TV programme in nearly nine years.

Almost one in three of the UK population – amounting to 60 per cent of the people who were watching television at the time – tuned to ITV1 to see Matt Cardle, 27, beat Rebecca Ferguson, 24, in the final sing-off.

Jennifer Grey Has Surgery to Repair Ruptured Disc

No wonder she almost had to withdraw from Dancing with the Stars.

Actress Jennifer Grey, who won the ABC dancing competition last month, underwent surgery last week to repair a ruptured disc in her back, suffered on the first night of Dancing’s two-night finale.

Dr. Robert S. Bray Jr. removed “a huge fragment” from Grey’s back during the operation. The procedure was a success, and Grey, 50, is recuperating but feeling great.
