‘X Factor’: L.A. Reid Promises Contestant a Bentley If He Wins

In 1970, Janis Joplin sang, “Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedez Benz.” Some 41 years later, X Factor judge L.A. Reid has upped the automobile ante significantly — to the tune of $200,000. That’s the average price for a 2012 Bentley, which is what the Epic Records chairman said he’d personally buy for finalist Marcus Canty if the 20-year-old R&B singer wins the competition.

“I haven’t given a Bentley away in a long time,” Reid tells The Hollywood Reporter. “But I told Marcus’ mom, ‘If he wins, you get a Bentley.’” (One can only assume the gift would come on top of the $5 million X Factor prize.)

Chris: Hendricks is Disney princess

Glee star Chris Colfer has hailed Christina Hendricks as a “full on Disney princess”.

The 21-year-old actor has written and stars in his own coming-of-age comedy movie Struck By Lightning, co-starring the Mad Men beauty as his stepmother and West Wing’s Allison Janney as his mum.

Chris is nervous about Struck By Lightning being released on the big screen and is hoping it will be embraced by audiences

He revealed: “I just saw the final cut of it and I’m really, really excited.

I think it’s good. The fact that I wrote it and I’m in so much and I can stand it I think says a lot because usually I can’t stand watching myself.

Keck’s Exclusives: Chord Overstreet on His Return to Glee

Unsure exactly how long Sam will be sticking around, the actor says, “It’s undetermined at the moment. I’m just having fun, and Mark [Salling], Cory [Monteith], Harry [Shum, Jr.] and Kevin [McHale] were especially glad to welcome me back.”

Extra fun was meeting his equally blonde TV parents, Mary and Dwight, played by soap actress Tanya Clarke and former The Dukes of Hazzard heartthrob, John Schneider. “John and I were doing impressions off set the whole time,” says Chord. “He does a great Christopher Walken and Sean Connery and I do Matthew McConaughey.”
