We caught up with Paula for a rebuttal and she said, “Simon, the only thing that’s redundant is your wardrobe, Mr. One-T-Shirt.” #Ohsnap! And as for his ejection plan, she joked, “While you’re considering ‘the boot,’ consider the spectrum. There are more colors than white.” Double #Ohsnap!!
Well, we’re happy that Paula is still here and look forward to watching her wax poetic on the performances, shower the finalists love, and, of course, to see what fab-u-lous dresses she’ll be gracing THE X FACTOR studio with. Hey, if Paula doesn’t have a musical act to mentor, she can always serve up some fashion advice to Simon!

Javier Colon’s Voice Not Heard on Billboard Charts
Earlier this year, I assumed contestants on “The Voice” had a distinct sales advantage over the hopefuls on rival show “American Idol.” I assumed that by counting iTunes downloads as actual votes–something “Idol” and similar shows do not do–“The Voice” would be better at predicting which contestants would fare well in the actual pop marketplace. What a fantastic business plan, I thought! So I assumed that Season 1 “Voice” winner Javier Colon, who landed several hits in the iTunes top five during his memorable run on the series, would be a surefire seller once his album came out.

‘X Factor’ Michael Jackson Night Has Singers On Edge
Meanwhile, one contestant had a full-on battle with his/her mentor over a chair. The mentor said, “Sit and sing.” The contestant said, “Again?! How about I do something on my feet for Michael Jackson week?” Another mentor came to the defense of the contestant. In the end, the contestant is sitting after all. Don’t worry, contestant. The eerie arrangement of an MJ classic is what folks are going to be buzzing about. No one will care if you sit or stand. In the control room, I spied one of the bigwigs utter the word “brilliant!” after the contestant’s dress rehearsal.
