Jordin Sparks Celebrates Her Own Sexy Man Jason Derulo – Last year, Derulo was dubbed one of PEOPLE’s Sexiest Men of the Year and posed shirtless in the magazine, which made his girlfriend very proud. “I totally saved the issue and showed him off to everyone saying, ‘Look where my boyfriend is,’ ” Sparks said Wednesday night at an event in New York City to celebrate PEOPLE’s new Sexiest Man Alive issue. Sparks, 22, and Derulo, 23, have been dating for over a year and although their schedules are hectic, “We make every single moment count together,” she tells PEOPLE. “He’s even coming to my house for Thanksgiving. Bucky Covington, ‘Drinking Side of Country’ Will Help Sandy Heroes – Bucky Covington and his twin brother, Rocky, are donating proceeds from the song “Drinking Side of Country,” to firefighters in the northeast U.S., who have been helping everyone in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. “When you saw a photo or video, in just about every one, there was a firefighter or two, grabbing someone or helping someone grab something,” Bucky tells The Boot. “There were 2,000 firefighters who lost their personal homes in the hurricane, yet there they were, helping others. – Read more at The Boot

‘X Factor’ Castoffs Lyric 145, Jennel Garcia Insist ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’ – “Us not being able to do the song we originally prepared definitely, probably took an effect on what happened today. I feel like if we would have done our original lyrics and did the song that we wanted to do, I don’t think this would have happened today,” Lyric Da Queen told MTV News after learning of the group’s fate. “Everything’s very spur-of-the-moment, it was a lot of pressure, it just definitely wasn’t the route we was planning on taking.” What does she think could have saved the trio? Simon Fuller, Jason Flom Among Music Execs Planning to Bid on EMI’s Remnant Assets: Sources – Vivendi-owned Universal Music Group recently won regulatory approval to acquire EMI Recorded Music for $1.9 billion. But it had to promise EU regulators a slew of divestitures. Fuller has been working on a bid with partners that is likely to focus on the Parlophone label, which includes such stars as Coldplay, Kylie Minogue and Blur. His main partner is Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, but they have been looking to add a financial firm. Sky News reported that they have been in early discussions with investment firm RIT Capital Partners. It wasn’t clear on Thursday if and when they would be able to line up a financing partner. – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter
