Clerk admits looking up informaton about Crystal Bowersox
SANDUSKY — A former clerk at Huron Municipal Court has pleaded guilty to misuse of property for using a court computer to look up information about “American Idol” contestant Crystal Bowersox.
Karen Grendow is due back at Erie County Common Pleas Court in January for a sentencing hearing, where she is likely to be sentenced to a diversion program for the misdemeanor, a prosecutor said.
Grendow resigned earlier this year for using the Ohio Court Network to search records for Bowersox, the Toledo-area native who was runner up on the last season of the popular national singing competition.

Darren Criss is hitting all the right notes with his new Glee bosses. Hot on the heels of his well-received debut last night as Kurt’s gay role model Blaine, the actor/singer/songwriter is in talks to become a full-fledged series regular. Breakthrough country artist returns home
Thankful is the one word Danny Gokey, “American Idol” finalist and American Country Awards breakthrough artist of the year nominee, uses to describe his feelings on recent accomplishments.
He will perform at the Weidner Center Nov. 18. As a Milwaukee native, Gokey still has strong ties to Wisconsin, despite moving to Nashville, Tenn. He said he misses the familiarity of living here.
“I feel proud and humbled at the same time, ” Gokey said. “People really took a liking to me in Wisconsin, and people were happy to see a boy from the home state go and perform on a national scale.”
