Cricket to donate $10, 000 to John F. Kennedy High School in Chicago, IL. As a special surprise for students, Best Buy Mobile, Cricket Communications and the GRAMMY Foundation arranged for a visit from multi-platinum rock band, Daughtry, to speak to the importance of [music] education. Daughtry will also be at the North Avenue Best Buy Store in Chicago this evening for a special live performance of their upcoming album, Break The Spell. The album will be available for download on Cricket’s Muve Music November 21.

“Music has always been a part of our life and it’s important that we work with partners in the community, like Best Buy Mobile, Cricket and the GRAMMY Foundation to keep the arts programs alive, ” said lead singer Chris Daughtry of their visit and speech to JFK High School in Chicago. “It was great to speak with the students and share our passion for music.”

Paige Turner and 21st Century Life’s amateur drag competition So You Think You Can Drag at New World Stages got a big ol’ dose of gay glam last night when Adam Lambert surprised the crowd as a last minute judge. Staff photographer Wilsonmodels relays that original judge, Sister Act’s Patina Miller, had to bow out of her duties after booking a last minute gig on Wendy Williams Show so recruited the American Idol runner-up to fill in.
