Sons of Sylvia May ‘Rock A Lot Harder’ on Next Album

Sons of Sylvia’s debut album, “Revelation, ” has only been out since April — yielding the singles “Love Left to Lose” and “I’ll Know You” — but the sibling trio is already chomping at the bit to start working on a sophomore set.

“Now that we’ve got our sea legs under us as far as this first record, I wouldn’t be surprised if we just rocked a lot harder on the next one, ” middle brother Austin Clark tells Billboard.com. “Every time you play live it’s just so much fun to give it all you’ve got. So I would imagine, if anything, the next record might just be a little louder than the last.”

On the ‘DWTS’ Scene: Florence Henderson Remembers the Late Robert Reed

As viewers saw last night, the song was approved. While it wasn’t perhaps the best tune to tango to, it did have great sentimental value to Henderson.

“The reason I really wanted to dance to the ‘Brady Bunch’ theme was because I wanted to dedicate it to Bob, ” Henderson told TV Squad on the post-show press line, referring to the late Robert Reed (who played her TV husband Mike Brady.)

“To lose him to AIDS [in 1992] broke all of our hearts. The fact that Barry [Williams, Greg] was here and knows how close we all were to Bob … that was my dedication tonight.”

Derek Hough & Jennifer Grey Talk ‘Dancing’ Tiff

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough’s on-screen sparring during their “Dancing with the Stars” rehearsals may have looked tense on Monday night’s competition show, but the pair told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson it was just a blip on the radar.

“I knew from experience, when you have a four-and-a-half minute tiff [in a filmed rehearsal], they’re like, ‘Gold! It’s gold!’” Derek told Shaun of how the pair’s brief rehearsal fracas ended up highlighted on “Dancing.”

“In the week we were laughing and joking, ” Derek added. “I pretty much knew the whole week that, that is what was going to be [on the show].”

Is Jennifer Grey close to quitting ‘Dancing’?

Nooo! “Dancing With the Stars” frontrunner (and our personal fave) Jennifer Grey is starting the feel the top-of-the-leaderboard pressure, and we don’t like it one bit.

Especially after she told us this backstage following Monday night’s show (which, for the record, she rocked!):

When we asked if she’s ready for the challenge of next week’s two dances (instead of the one she’s gotten used to), Jennifer simply replied, “If it gets more stressful than this, I don’t know that I can take it.”

Glee’s Chord Overstreet Talks About His Giant Mouth, and Attempts a ‘That’s What She Said’ Joke

There’s no new Glee episode on tonight (just a repeat of “Hairography”), but why not take time during this lull to get to know the newest New Direction? Chord Overstreet has only starred in two episodes thus far, but as Sam, he has already dealt with jabs about his extra-wide grin and Bieber-esque hairdo, fended off rampant rumors about being Kurt’s gay love interest, and read a slew of bad pickup lines with great lack of finesse. Next week he’ll add the donning of gold lamé shorts to that list of mild indignities, in the much-touted Rocky Horror episode. He told us about the origin of his excellent name, the necessary skills for playing a doofus, and the perils of showering onscreen.

  1. LOL…. Kris Allen is awesome, he cracks me up! Was he drunk, or does he not drink alcohol ?

  2. Its interesting but not surprising that just about every professional photo, used in conjunction with an article about the tour, has Adam in the same costume.

    Nice interview with Kris.

  3. That Kris Allen story was so funny. I’m glad that the hotel guy recognized him, and didn’t give him a hard time. Of course now, the hotel guy could recognize too much of him. LOL.

  4. Kris drinks. Said he favorite drink in beer during an Idol Tour interview. (Reporters ask the most important questions!)

I did not realize Adam has a flamboyant band! Bet this is the first time anyone has called Monte flamboyant! :)

  5. lili_anne7- he sleepwalked.
Funny story, but poor Kris- good thing it ended well.

Its interesting but not surprising that just about every professional photo, used in conjunction with an article about the tour, has Adam in the same costume.

I think I heard that the reason for that is that professional photographers are only allowed to take pictures during the first 2 or 3 songs during a preformance.

  7. I think I heard that the reason for that is that professional photographers are only allowed to take pictures during the first 2 or 3 songs during a preformance.

That would make sense. I was just thinking that perhaps this costume was the most out there, hence makes a more interesting picture.

Actually I think that they have to leave early to close edition so they don´t stick around for the entire show… I´ve seem professional pictures of the whole show, but I´ve also seem a lot of reviews of people who cleary didn´t stayed till the end

  9. Hahaha! Kris! You’re so funny. Now I know why they have a “buck” as design for the t-shirt. In honor of Kris’s buckiness! LOL :-)

  10. Hahaha! Kris! You’re so funny. Now I know why they have a “buck” as design for the t-shirt. In honor of Kris’s buckiness! LOL

Oh, I’m sure you’re right! That’s the reason behind the buck.

  11. lolololol at Kris’s story. I would be so embarassed to have something like that happened to me.

    Q3
Regarding what Kris drinks. I remember the interview. It was with Adam and the interviewer (woman) asserted that he was a beer guy (i guess because he comes from Arkansas), he said something like ‘whatever..’. On pictures i saw of him dining, seems he’s more cocktail and wine. Not that it’s important though.. :)

  12. OMG that Mark Salling song is really, really horrible. The background sounded like porn music, and his voice is seriously weak.

  13. LOL at Kris’ buck naked story and Jim’s torrid twitter affair with Momma Allen. I wonder if the Hershey hotel he was in is going through their security tapes looking for the ‘evidence’ now.

I can’t wait for the rest of Jim’s interview and Slezak’s.

  14. That Kris story was high-fracking-larious. And I continue to love Kris’s delivery of stories. I don’t think he’s given enough credit for it.

Can’t wait for part 2 of this interview.

  15. The background sounded like porn music, and his voice is seriously weak.

There aren’t that many voices that annoy me, but OMG, his voice is just awful. Plus overpowered by the instrumentation. Dude should stick with Glee…

  16. Who’s Mark Salling?

Puck from Glee. I knew Cory Monteith’s voice was weak when I saw them sing live on Oprah, but wow, this is really disappointing. Dude could have used some autotune….but the song still isn’t good enough. He’s still hot though, lol.

  17. This is sort of cute, from one of Danny’s friends in the Nashville music community.

calvinnowell: Was just offered homeade brownies made by @dannygokey. No thanks! I wanna live bro…u should too http://yfrog.com/mya9ndj

From that photo, Danny’s talents don’t appear to include baking ;)

  18. OMG, Danny’s brownies look HORRIBLE! He, on the other hand, looks TERRIFIC! Such a sweet guy too, and quite the entertainer “live!” Saw him in Orlando, and he ROCKED!

  19. And, by the way, I just LOVE Kris, and that story was HILARIOUS! He was SO lucky that no women were around, or he may have had an even MORE embarrassing story and maybe a chase down the hallway! He needs to tie his cellphone around his neck at night, just in case he does that again! LOL!

  20. Danny’s brownies are no lookers but hey they might be good if the dark spots we see in the pic are not burned spots :)

  21. Nothing wrong with man parts being seen ;)

Mark Salling, just be quiet and look pretty. I thought it totally sounded like porn music too !

  22. OMG, Danny’s brownies look HORRIBLE! He, on the other hand, looks TERRIFIC! Such a sweet guy too, and quite the entertainer “live!” Saw him in Orlando, and he ROCKED!

Yes, and yes on the looks issues :)

That Orlando HOB show is probably still my favorite of all the ~few (lol) times I’ve seen Danny. He was reportedly telling fans even a couple of months later how much he enjoyed it and that it was his favorite among all his shows to that point in time. Aww.

Not that we know what porn music sounds like or anything …..

I tought that when i read your previous comment but you’re the one comenting on it …. rofl

  24. Steph, that’s great to hear! I sure hope he comes back! Danny really has a way with the audience! Enjoyed every minute! He was my favorite to win S8, but I love Kris too. With all Danny had to endure in S8, I’m just glad he’s doing so well now and living his dream!

  25. Kipper, don’t know any specific FL dates except Jacksonville coming up.

But Danny seems to loooooove Florida so I fully expect he will be there often if he can, especially when the weather starts getting colder :)

I think I heard that the reason for that is that professional photographers are only allowed to take pictures during the first 2 or 3 songs during a preformance.

You are correct. If they have a presss pass, they aren’t allowed to stay for the whole show. If they bought a ticket, they can, but even then they usually have to move. I’d like to see more professional pics in the last costume or the Sleepwalker costume.

  27. In Danny’s defense, I think his brownies look fine. It’s just that the photographer shot the picture using the wrong white balance. Thus giving it that greenish tint. Haha!

  28. Ozarko, I have that Archie picture in my stash ~ love that boy! Too cute! He’s my #1 ~ not sure about the brownies though! He’s really a health nut, so I can’t picture him eating one! lol!

And Steph, I know about the Jax show, but isn’t it General Admission? I said I’d never go to another one of those for several reasons! Ha!

  29. Kipper, I looked up the source I had on the Jacksonville show.

It appears there is “VIP Seating” (less-general general seating, lol) for not that much extra, to avoid the full-open GA seating. Maybe that would be enough to help out for your concerns.

    https://commerce46.pair.com/jaxfair/shop/

There are still tickets available for Danny’s show, though fewer than for the other three artists listed. Aww, always like to see that

Danny & band put on a great show, definitely recommend to anyone who has a chance to go :)

  30. Thanks for the info, Steph! I’d love to see Danny’s show again! I’ll check with my friends tomorrow & see if they’re game!

  31. koshka:

Its interesting but not surprising that just about every professional photo, used in conjunction with an article about the tour, has Adam in the same costume.

Professional photography is only allowed during the opening medley of the GNT, and only with a press pass that authorizes photography. So all of the “official” photographs have the same outfit. They do this because the photographers block some of the audience from seeing the show.

Once that part of the concert is completed, photographers most leave and return to their seats.

Some reporters have to leave the concert early to make their deadlines, and some chose to leave early and do not watch the entire show. And a few reporters have “accidentally” reported the wrong encores because they didn’t actually see the encore and went by Twitter or a previous concert. These reports get corrected.

You are correct. If they have a presss pass, they aren’t allowed to stay for the whole show. If they bought a ticket, they can, but even then they usually have to move. I’d like to see more professional pics in the last costume or the Sleepwalker costume.

As far as I know the only reporters who had to buy tickets were people who wanted to review the show in the first several shows when there were no press passes. If you have press credentials and request in a timely manner, you got a press pass and a seat — no ticket purchase required. There are some online “reporters” who were not “real” press and had to buy tickets. But if you review music for the local paper, you can a ticket and a press pass and usually an interview.

  32. From that photo, Danny’s talents don’t appear to include baking ;)

LOL, he looks fine, but nay on the Brownies. I hope they are pot Brownies, maybe no one will care

Archies look nice and gooey though!

And Steph, I know about the Jax show, but isn’t it General Admission? I said I’d never go to another one of those for several reasons! Ha!

I actually prefer the general admission ones, lol. Hate standing in line for hours to get a good spot; but much prefer being able to jump around vs. sitting in a seat and getting yelled at by ushers.
I think Danny prefers it too; he always asks security if fans can rush the stage at the end during the last few numbers.

But yeah, Kipper, things can get annoying with pushing and shoving, I hear you.

  33. Indigo, you got that right about the pushing & shoving (& stepping on toes & all that fun stuff)! Ha! I’ll take a seat any day! My mosh pit days are over, I’m afraid. :) To each his own!

  34. Ozarko, I sure wish I were close enough to that Archie show! I haven’t heard any of his new songs “live” yet, except online! I see a VIP in my future ~ soon, I hope!
