Both Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina are in Detroit tonight. Scotty tweets, “on the way to the ALCS game! Detroit vs. Texas.. none of my teams are still in it, so I’m just going to enjoy the game!”

Trace Adkins & Lauren Alaina to Participate in T.J. Martell Foundation’s Family Day – Lauren Alaina will perform during the T.J. Martell Foundation’s 2nd Annual Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin-Robbins Family Day on October 29. The event will take place at the Curb Event Center at Belmont University in Nashville. Besides a performance by Lauren, there will also be an indoor carnival with inflatable games, bungees and trick or treat booths. – Via GacTV

On Oct. 12, former ‘American Idol‘ contestants Pia Toscano, Stefano Langone and Sanjaya Malakar attended the Soles4Souls charity event, hosted by Puma’s Riddim + Run. Cee Lo Green also hit up the benefit, stepping outside the boundaries of his outrageous wardrobe by rocking a basic white collard T-shirt and khaki shorts. Toscano, on the other hand, looked super chic in her yellow blouse and a purple fitted mini skirt.

Martin Short: Nice, Not Nasty, Works When Judging TV Talent Competitions

TORONTO – Martin Short watches American Idol. So the Canadian comic/actor will be nice, not nasty, when he takes up lead judging duties on Canada’s Got Talent.

“When (Aerosmith’s) Steven Tyler took over at American Idol, and J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez), they said everyone will be too nice and too pleasant and it won’t have an edge. And the ratings went higher, ” Short said of a post-Simon Cowell American Idol.

Canada’s Got Talent, to debut on Citytv in March 2012, will be a local version of the America’s Got Talent show, and also based on the format licensed from FremantleMedia.

Rapper Pharrell Williams put “X-Factor” in the most bizarre nutshell of all time … claiming the show is just like “a girl with three t*ts.”

Pharrell joins “X-Factor” as a guest judge this Sunday — and while taping one of the segments, he told producers, X is “like a trifecta. It’s like you’re getting rock, you’re getting alternative mentality, you’re getting hip-hop influence, you’re getting the visuals.”

Pharrell added, “Just being one thing is boring, right? You know, a girl with three t*ts … that’s where it’s at!”

X Factor v baseball reveals Simon Cowell no longer has God-like powers

Now, one doesn’t want to get carried away when talking about the significance or otherwise of last night’s episode of the X Factor getting bumped, and further episodes being duly shuffled and shoehorned into all manner of random slots during the week – but this does portend the end of the world.

If you have been feeling a bit watery in your legs this morning and don’t know why, I shall explain. You see, the world has tipped a little off its axis this week and looks set to continue to do so for God has spoken and he has said, the era of Simon Cowell is over. Maybe.
