‘American Idol’ Hopeful Arrested At Pittsburgh Audition

“‘American Idol’ threw me in jail for trespassing, ” Brittany Acosta told Channel 4 Action News reporter Bob Mayo. “I can’t explain, because I’m not the sheriff, but I got thrown in jail. I was in there for five days.”

She acknowledges traveling to “Idol” auditions across the United States.

According to the criminal complaint, police said Acosta was repeatedly asked to leave the Pittsburgh “Idol” event, but she started screaming, “I’m not leaving, this is my dream, my life is ruined.”

“I made ‘The Voice, ‘ so I’m doing ‘The Voice’ callbacks, ” Acosts said.
