Introducing: Scotty McCreery, a new special making its debut on Great American Country next Monday, offers up a one-of-a-kind behind the scenes look at how the kid from Garner, North Carolina, wound up where he is today.

“My first competition was Clayton Idol in 2009, ” recalls McCreery about the singing contest at the Clayton Harvest Festival in Clayton, N.C. “Before that, I’d only sung in church and not really anything outside of that, so I figured it would be nice to give it a chance. I ended up winning the whole thing. So that opened the door for me outside of church and I learned a lot from that. That was definitely a stepping stone in my life as a musician.”

Jennifer Lopez On Board Digital Teen Series

NEW YORK: Jennifer Lopez, her company Nuyorican Productions and Believe Entertainment Group have aligned for the new digital video series Tiger Beat Entertainment, geared toward teens and young adults.

The entertainment news and lifestyle show will be distributed through and in partnership with AOL and the teen and young adult platform Cambio. It will be produced at Cambio’s Hollywood studio. The series is a partnership with Tiger Beat, a popular teen magazine.

Mom of Brooklyn ‘X Factor’ sensation proud of son

The mother of “X Factor” sensation Brian Bradley couldn’t be prouder of her son’s rapping success on the show — even though the song the Brooklyn boy performed has been causing her nothing but headaches.

“People have been purposely trying to hit on me ever since the show aired, ” said Christine Bradley of her son’s self-penned ditty “Stop Looking at My Mom!” which he sang on the Fox talent show Thursday.

Bradley, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, said that it was a surreal experience watching her 15-year-old son rap about her — and how people ogle her in the street — on national television.
