NL: I heard you are a huge fan of David Archuleta, and that you wrote some songs for him. What was it like working with him, and what’s the feel of the songs that you guys wrote together?
PR: Living in LA, I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many artists. He’s one of the ones that kind of was like, even though he’s been through the whole American Idol thing and he had all this fame when he was 16 years old, he’s still the sweetest nicest person. We were in the studio and things were going slow, and he was like, “Why are we wasting all this money, you know we could go write songs in the car”. And that’s the type of writer that you kind of gravitate towards because he hasn’t gotten lost in it. It‘s still about …you know he just loves to sing, that’s his thing. He has a beautiful voice and he loves to sing. And he likes to stay inspirational, he doesn’t really like to talk about “Ooh girl, I wanna kiss you”. You know that type of typical stuff. He likes to talk about life and things that will make people wanna get up and do something. So the songs that we did were kinda like very… I want to say touching, moving songs. More like a pop/Josh Groban type of thing.

Carrie Underwood in a dress made of tofu? It could happen, as the vegetarian star joked to the morning show at radio station KMLE in Phoenix last week.
Asked if she’d every wear a dress made of meat, as Lady Gaga recently did at the MTV Video Music Awards, Carrie told the station’s Tim Hattrick and Willy D. Loon, “I’m going to have to go with ‘no’ on that. Maybe soy, or a tofurkey dress. It’s currently in the works, ” she joked, which prompted Willy to suggest she wear “a Versoyce.”

Brandy Talks ‘Dancing with the Stars, ‘ Bristol Palin & New Music
On the eve of her debut on “Dancing with the Stars, ” Brandy is all excitement, nerves, and sore muscles.
Brandy and her brother plan to release a joint album in conjunction with the show, and although that project’s release date hasn’t been set yet, the first single, “Lifeguard, ” recently leaked. “It’s just about knowing when relationships are over, ” Brandy says of the ballad. “It’s sad because I really want a relationship that works. Its long overdue — I’m 31, lets have some more kids! Its like, ‘Brothers, get it together.’ The siblings are also working on their own solo albums, and Brandy says that she’s close to inking a deal with a label to put out the release. “The album is just starting. I can’t say with who yet, because I just want to make sure it goes through, ” she says.
