The “American Idol” alum opted for goth-inspired garb for his weekend dinner date, wearing an all-black ensemble as he hit the Tinseltown hot spot.

Casey Abrams Returns
Frank and Lori Ferro, of Café Aroma in Idyllwild, are organizing a big block party next Sunday, Sept. 25, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., on closed North Circle Drive in front of the restaurant. Café Aroma has been Casey Abrams Central since the bass-playing Idyllwild Arts Academy graduate made it to the final rounds of “American Idol” last season.
Abrams, who has been busy this summer with the live “American Idol” concert tour, will be in the San Jacinto Mountains resort town next weekend. The Ferros first contemplated staging a welcome-home parade, but then opted for a street party.

How ‘American Idol’ 2011 turned Paul McDonald’s life around
MANILA, Philippines — “American Idol” 2011 finalist Paul McDonald is upfront about several things on the show including this one: He joined for the benefits.
“I didn’t know anything about the show prior to joining it but my band [The Golden Magnolias] got to play with some of the contestants from past seasons and I thought, ‘Why are we in a 15-passeneger van while he gets his own tour bus? And why do they have screaming girls running after them?’” he told Bulletin Entertainment and select members of media in an interview at Manila Hotel for their concert “American Idol Live! Tour 2011” to be held at Araneta Coliseum on Sept. 20 and 21.

Mommy’s little Thia – Cynthia calls her ‘Idol’ a ‘blessing from heaven’
Cynthia Megia, mother of Fil-Am “American Idol” finalist Thia Megia, says her daughter hasn’t changed a bit even after landing in the Top 11 finalists of the popular reality talent search.
A former nurse/midwife, Cynthia insists that Thia, 16, remains “shy and quiet and still gets nervous before a show.”
However, when no one else is around, mom notes, “Thia makes me laugh. She [speaks English with] different accents—Indian, Vietnamese, British and Filipino.”

Besides, although I believe that the finalists of Season 10 are the best ever in Idol history, they mostly sing country and jazz, music types that few Filipinos go for. Besides, why pay so much when you have already seen them perform week after week earlier this year on TV? Chances are, it will be those songs that they will perform in this show.

Simon Cowell has split from fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy – but he is already back in the dating game.
Sources close to the 51-year-old X Factor creator revealed that he called off his engagement to the Afghan-born make-up artist last month and is now seeing someone else.
Officially, Cowell remains tight-lipped about the state of his relationship with 38-year-old Mezhgan – whom he wooed with a £250, 000 engagement ring – and the couple put on a united front in Los Angeles for the launch of the American X Factor on Wednesday night.

“I did not intend for my comments to be taken in a malicious way, ” she continued in another Tweet. “But I did hate the dress. Called her ass great. Did u all hear that one?”
“Congrats Lea. U know how to work the red carpet. I can’t take it as seriously as you. .. I can’t take myself that seriously. I don’t like the red carpet. I feel silly, ” she wrote. “So props to her for knowing what she’s doing and enjoying it.”
Adding, “But I won’t apologize. I’m an outspoken person. I own what I said about that outfit. And I mimicked what I saw with my own two eyes.”
