Fantasia On TMZ Photog: He Pissed Me Off

“I’ve been saying this in every interview and every show I’ve gone on: they don’t ever try to give me a break. They don’t ever try to say anything nice about me, that’s not what they do for Fantasia. I’ve accepted that. When [the cameraman] came out in the airport, he was being very, very nice in the beginning. And then, all of a sudden, he tried to throw me a blow, like, ‘So, have you taken any aspirin lately?’ I don’t find anything funny about that situation. Like I told Wendy Williams and Rickey Smiley, I’m not even going to talk about that situation anymore, because it’s not anything fun to talk about and it’s not easy to talk about. I want to just move on and take every step at a time and gradually get my life back and myself back together.

Interview :: Constantine Maroulis

Constantine Maroulis rocked it in American Idol’s fourth season and as lead singer in his band Pray for the Soul of Betty. He brings all that and more to Chicago on the Rock of Ages tour.

WCT: What was it like being nominated for a Tony?

CM: It was my dream. I grew up loving theater, and I always dreamed to create a role and even be in the conversation for something like that. I think it’s a testament to the hard work of our creative team for getting the show to Broadway, starting it in a little bar in Los Angeles. No one was getting paid, [they brought] their own costumes and we eventually got it to off-Broadway—and that’s when I joined the company and it really came together.

  1. @AimeeMayo Ascap Awards last nite @silvertire & pickler won awards finally met Casey James -after party jam session N studio- he’s amazing on guitar.

Looks like Aimee Mayo finally got her wish! ;)

  2. Does Fantasia have any clue at all how childish and entitled she sounds whenever she starts in with her “poor me” routine? No wonder life is hard for her, how could it be easy when she sees herself as the Most!Victimized!Person! On!Earth!

  3. The twitter world is wondering what “GREAT news” Matt has, but I guess we will find out tomorrow. I’m also glad he is going to Detroit because they are the last set of Mediabase stations in Michigan that are not playing his song. Hopefully that is about to change.

  4. Earlier today some of us were trying to figure out where Kris was going when he hopped on a plane this morning. Evidently (at least according to one tweet) he is/was in SF, where he gave a performance at some private function.

    Hey — mystery solved! (maybe)

  5. I hope Matt’s great news is that he has finally gotten signed.

Or that he’s releasing his own single/album soon

  6. girlygirl, I certainly hope the same thing. In fact, an immediate follow-up single to “Thank You” seems strategic to me, assuming “Thank You” keeps working its way up the AC chart. But I’m betting he’s joining Jim Brickman’s tour that starts in about 3 weeks. I have no indication of that, but it seems most likely. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.

  7. Now we know what Kris was doing today.

Just confirmed that @KrisAllen performed at a private event today. Performed at The Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco.

It was a radio conference for the Northern California Broadcasters Association. Cale traveled with Kris.

  8. Ahhh, I just came here to see if anyone had figured out where Kris was after the tweet that hinted he was on a plane. He didn’t have a very long, solid vacation. I knew GG or tripp would have figured it out!

  9. Kris has surfaced (and remains a dork/smart ass)…

So, something like this, he (and Cale) got paid, right ?
Kind of sad that Kris did not get a long vacation which he deserves (and Cale too)

I think that it’s great that he continues to do radio-related gigs.

    http://www.mwrgermany.com/fMWR_Happenings/happenings.htm

Kazabra Club: 2009 American Idol Winner is coming to Kaiserslautern, Oct. 1, 8 p.m. Kris Allen is currently on tour promoting his self-titled debut album and will be performing this concert for free!

1019MIXChicago: Want to watch @lifehousemusic and @KrisAllen up close? @EricandKathy have 2nd row tix to give away b4 7A – tune in for your chance to win!

  14. Uh oh! Fantasia’s album is out of the top 10!! Must be time to swallow more aspirin, or manufacture some other sympathy inducing ploy. I’m sure she’s been badly misunderstood or victimized in some way this week, that she needs to tell us about!!

  15. I think that it’s great that he continues to do radio-related gigs.

I don’t look at this event being the same as his radio station stops where Kris performs. This seems to be an event where Kris was paid to perform. Since it was related to radio, it could serve two purposes, get paid and rub shoulders with some radio execs.

  16. Thanks tripp for the info. I would have loved to listen to all three of those guests, but especially the first one! :-)
