The Marshall Tucker Band brought southern rock to the riverfront stage in Nashville at the Music City BBQ Fest (8/26).
Bo Bice and Katie Armiger made surprise appearances to join their heroes onstage contributing to “Fire On The Mountain, ” and “Can’t You See, ” respectively.

After Bowersox’s show canceled, supporting act Elliott Yamin finds new venue
Just two days after it was announced that the diabetes fund-raising show that “American Idol” runner-up Crystal Bowersox’s was to give at Stabler Arena has been canceled, it was announced her supporting act — Elliott Yamin, also an “American Idol” finalist — has found another venue.
Yamin is scheduled to play Planet Trog nightclub at 3578 MacArthur Road, Whitehall Township at 6 p.m. Sept. 9. The Stabler show was to have been Sept. 10, it was just announced.

Rent’s Frenchie Davis, a recent finalist on NBC’s “The Voice, ” will act as Mistress of Ceremonies for New York’s Finest: The Leading Men of Broadway Sept. 16 at 8:30 PM at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre.
Produced by Chris Isaacson Presents, this one-night-only concert will feature the talents of David Burnham (Wicked, The Light in the Piazza), Tony Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (The Color Purple, The Scottsboro Boys), Tony Award nominee Chad Kimball (Memphis, Into the Woods), Tony Award winner Levi Kreis (Million Dollar Quartet) and “American Idol” finalist Ace Young (Hair, Grease).

Jackson native Adam Woolsey gets his shot before ‘American Idol’ judges but is not chosen for show
Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler gave Adam Woolsey his due, but that didn’t include choosing him to be a contestant on season 11 of “American Idol.”
Woolsey, a Jackson native and student at Michigan State University, auditioned for “Idol’s” celebrity panel of judges at Reliant Arena in Houston on Aug. 26.

‘X Factor’ USA judges to name favorite artists in radio special
The X Factor USA judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and LA Reid will reveal their favorite artists in a new radio special called ‘The Judges’ Ultimate Picks’.
The Fox All Access radio series will debut a one-off episode later this month where the X Factor USA judges will select which songs they believe best represent pop music’s hottest stars.
