‘American Idol’ judges heading to St. Louis

“American Idol” is making a return trip to St. Louis this summer, this time with judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson in tow

This second round of auditions will take place Friday and Saturday at an undisclosed location.

In addition to the judging, the judges will hold a press conference.

Brad Paisley’s Duet with Carrie Underwood, “Remind Me, ” Hits Number 1 on Both Country Airplay Charts

Country superstar Brad Paisley’s duet, “Remind Me, ” with fellow country superstar Carrie Underwood has hit the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck country airplay charts this week. “Remind Me” becomes Paisley’s 20th No. 1 single and Underwood’s 14th No. 1 single.

Written by Paisley, Chris DuBois and Kelley Lovelace, “Remind Me” is Paisley’s third single from his Gold certified album, This Is Country Music. In addition to hitting the top of the airplay charts, the single was certified Gold earlier this month by the RIAA for sales exceeding 500, 000 downloads. “Remind Me” has already surpassed 750, 000 digital downloads.

Carrie Underwood’s Husband Opens Up About Faith in New Book

Country music fans are familiar with Nashville Predators centerman Mike Fisher, since he is Carrie Underwood‘s husband. There are many other layers to Underwood’s man beyond his skills on the ice. Case in point: He is releasing a book, ‘Defender of the Faith, ’ next month. Fisher spoke at length to Belief.net about how his rock solid faith keeps him grounded and positive.

No wonder Underwood, also know for her strong Christian faith, is so enamored of her hubby. He is in touch with his spiritual side and is happy to discuss it so that it might inspire or help others. Whether or not you actually share Fisher’s beliefs is of little consequence. The fact that he is so focused and strong in those beliefs is admirable.

‘Glee’ Music Producer, ‘Rita Rocks’ Duo Developing Musical Comedy for ABC Family

ABC Family wants its piece of the Glee pie, too.

The cable network is developing Maid in Miami, a half-hour comedy from Glee music producer Adam Anders and Rita Rocks duo Stan Zimmerman and James Berg.

Berg and Zimmerman are writing the script for the project, which would revolve around a young maid with dreams of becoming a singer. Singer-actress Christina Millian attached to star should the project move forward.

Chris Colfer and Walton Goggins to present Creative Arts Emmys

Chris Colfer and Brad Falchuk of “Glee” and Walton Goggins and Graham Yost of “Justified” are among the new batch of presenters who will dole out prizes at the Creative Arts Emmys on Sept. 10.

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences also named Rebecca Romijn and Paul Scheer (“NTSF:SD:SUV”), Priscilla Presley and Steve Binder (“Elvis’ ’68 Comeback Special”), H. Jon Benjamin and Adam Reed (“Archer”), and Paul “Pee-Wee Herman” Reubens (“The Pee-Wee Herman Show on Broadway”).

The Primetime Creative Arts Emmys will be held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles. An edited version of the telecast will be aired by ReelzChannel on Sept. 17.

VMA ratings: Biggest MTV audience ever

Lady Gaga is going to have to host the show next year to top this. MTV’s annual Video Music Awards just scored its biggest audience ever last night — 12.4 million viewers.

Not only are those record-setting numbers for the VMAs, but last night’s show was also the most-watched single telecast in MTV’s history.
