Lady A Meet Steven Tyler

Back in May, Lady Antebellum debuted their current hit, “Just a Kiss” on TV’s American Idol. That obviously was a huge way to introduce their new music, but it also gave them the opportunity to meet Idol winner Scotty McCreery and rock legend Steven Tyler. The trio described the experience to Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton: “We rushed the stage! After we performed, there’s a little commercial break, we ran down and met the judges and said ‘Hey’ to the contestants. But we were in the press line afterwards, and Steven Tyler walked into our interview, and he said some of the nicest things, and started singing our song to us, typical Steven Tyler, and I was like, ‘Steven Tyler’s singing our song to us!”

From American Idol to Indie Pop Singer Songwriter, Charity Vance Releases Debut Album

‘Writing is a part of me, ’ explains new music artist Charity Vance. ‘It owns a room in my heart. I love visiting that room!’

And what she writes on paper is translated into heartwarming and heart-achingly good indie-pop music.

Charity Vance is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Arkansas who caught our attention on Season 9 of FOX series ‘American Idol’. At her audition she sang her own rendition of ‘Summertime’ and wowed the judges which included guest-judge Shania Twain. Soon after ‘American Idol’, Charity went straight to recording her solo album in a studio in Nashville with production team ZodLounge, the same team responsible for the music of Emily Osment, Leann Rimes, and Richard Marx. This resulting record is now ready for release this 2011.

“You can’t stop clickin’ at me, writin’ ’bout me, tweetin’ ’bout me, ” 18-year-old Cher Lloyd sings on her debut single, “Swagger Jagger.”

She isn’t wrong. Ever since the British singer found fame as a finalist on last year’s season of “The X Factor, ” Lloyd has provoked intense Internet buzz and fiercely divided opinions among music fans. The combination propelled “Swagger Jagger” to No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart. The track’s video, which mixes edgy dance synths and beats with an infectious, sweetly sung chorus, has more than 8 million YouTube views. A highly confident, opinionated teen with a cocky street attitude — and who’s been known to lay into people on Twitter, where she has more than 500, 000 followers — Lloyd signed with Syco Music/Sony Music Entertainment after finishing fourth in the “X Factor” finals.

Joe McElderry is on the right track with new album

Popstar to Operastar champ Joe McElderry has confessed that he may have taken the “wrong direction” with his debut album for Simon Cowell’s Syco record label.

The 19-year-old was dropped by Cowell after disappointing sales of his debut album following his X Factor win.

Joe is about to release his new album, `Classic’, for Universal records.

He told Daily Mail: “I really enjoy pouring emotion into a song. It was what I was known for. The first album, Wide Awake, was a new experience for me – going down an uptempo pop route.

“At the time I thought that was what I wanted to do. Now I want to do dramatic ballads. I went into Operastar because I wanted to grow as a performer.
