Lauren Alaina Goes From Greasy To Glam

It’s a good thing Lauren Alaina got runner-up on American Idol. Turns out, she wasn’t the most skilled dough artist at Rossville, Georgia’s CiCi’s Pizza – a job she hasn’t yet quit!

“This one time, I took the pizzas, and this one night, I don’t know what was wrong with me, but I dropped, like, six pizzas in one night on the floor, ” the singer, 16, tells me. “I thought that they were going to kill me. I kept dropping them! They put me in a different position – they put me on the register. I was really embarrassed.”

Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson et al. Set for MLK Jr. Memorial Concert, 8/28

NBC, CBS and ABC are all set to cover the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial dedication and its accompanying concert, set to take place on the Washington DC mall on August 28 according to ShowBiz411.

Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Jennifer Hudson are set for the show, with BrIan Williams and Tom Brokaw said to be involved. George Lucas and Jamie Foxx are also part of the event. The show will begin at 11am and end around 3pm.

The August 28th concert is the finale of several days of events in Washington. This will be the first time that a memorial in Washington is dedicated to anyone other than a president.

Cheryl Cole Lands Gig With Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz

After getting the boot from the American and U.K. versions of the X Factor, Cheryl Cole is bouncing back with a role in the upcoming What to Expect When You’re Expecting starring Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz.

There’s no word yet on the Girls Aloud singer’s role in the flick, but according to her publicist, fans shouldn’t expect a major breakout role for the performer’s first movie role ever.

Cheryl finds Glee: Miss Cole lands cameo role on hit US TV show

Simon Cowell may have thought she wasn’t good enough for American audiences but Cheryl Cole has reportedly landed a role in Glee.

The Girls Aloud singer has allegedly managed to bag herself a cameo role on the hit TV series following in the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears.

Her management team, led by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, have been busy negotiating possible roles for the Parachutes singer in both Glee and the E4 comedy How I Met Your Mother.
