Exclusive Tour Interview with Haley Reinhart

It was announced last month that Haley has been signed to 19 Recordings/Interscope Records, and she’s beginning the album-planning phase. “We’re definitely thinking about the direction of the record right now and the process of how I want to do it, meaning I’d rather get set-up with producers and songwriters and get in a room with them. I write as well, so I’d like to really collab and have things come out naturally. And I’m sure I’ll get songs as well, but I would like it to be a collaboration of things.”

Lythgoe and Murphy make ‘SYTYCD’ predictions

So, who are Nigel and Mary predicting to win?

Resident tamale train conductor Mary Murphy (aka M.M.) is predicting an “M” will take it home. “Marko and Melanie have never fallen down into the bottom, ” Mary told me at the Fox TCA party. “The rest that are up there have fallen down. So I do think it will be between Melanie and Marko.”

Nigel disagrees.

“I believe it will be [one of] the two girls, either Melanie or Sasha, ” he told our E! News pal Ryan Seacrest this morning. “I think the girls this year have been stronger than the boys. Some years the boys are stronger. Certainly Benji and Travis, for anyone who knows this show, were very strong. This year I think Melanie and Sasha are the right two girls to go into the finale. And I do believe that one of them will win.”

Marketing ‘Glee’ the movie

“Glee, ” Fox’s breakout musical series about a group of misfit high schoolers, has become a sensation in its two years on the air. It’s earned an army of hard-core fans who identify themselves as “Gleeks” and charted more Billboard Hot 100 hits than any recording artist in history — including Elvis.

Now, the show’s creative team is attempting to bring its magic to the multiplex with a new 3-D concert film opening Friday. Directed by Kevin Tancharoen and culled from two Izod Center shows in East Rutherford, N.J., “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie” features series regulars such as Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith, and is aimed to appeal to fans with its collection of musical numbers and dressing-room interviews.
