Thousands are registering today for the Milwaukee auditions set to take place on Wednesday July 21. According to FOX6, Milwaukee’s own Danny Gokey will be there to talk to auditioners.

Siobhan Magnus rocks out at home
MANSFIELD — When Siobhan Magnus was just 8 years old, she saw her first concert, the Spice Girls, at Great Woods in Mansfield.
Now, at 19, Magnus walked onto that same stage ready to perform last night for her home state of Massachusetts.
“It’s just such a crazy feeling to have the opportunity to perform on the same stage of my first show, because something magical happened that night, ” Magnus said. “You’re like, ‘I want to do that, I want to be up there, ‘ and for that to actually happen on the same stage is crazy.”
Special Olympics kick off with opening ceremony

And the 2010 Special Olympics USA National Games — the biggest sporting event in the history of the state — officially began Sunday evening at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

40 Kentucky Athletes To Participate In Special Olympics
Forty Kentucky Special Olympic athletes are preparing to compete as the 2010 Special Olympics USA National Games, which opened Sunday in Lincoln, Neb.
At the end of a thrilling Opening Ceremonies, hosted by actress and model Brooklyn Decker and actor and Special Olympics athlete Eddie Barbanell, Special Olympics CEO Tim Shriver officially declared the games open to thunderous applause from the 3, 000 Special Olympics athletes poised to compete at the Games.
Ahead of Shriver’s declaration, the Opening Ceremonies featured performances by recording artists Jars of Clay and American Idol contestant Michael Sarver. Sarver sang two songs written just for the Games.

The New York Yankees announced that Yankee Stadium will host the “Bombers Boomer Broadway Softball Classic” on Monday, July 19, 2010.
Those scheduled to attend the “Bombers Boomer Broadway Softball Classic” include Broadway stars Corbin Bleu and Matthew Broderick; former Yankees Oscar Gamble, Charlie Hayes, Pat Kelly and Joe Pepitone; WFAN’s No. 1-rated morning show personalities Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton; New York Giant BranDon Jacobs and Good Day New York hosts Greg Kelly and RosAnna Scotto. WFAN’s Boomer & Carton show will broadcast live from Yankee Stadium beginning at 6:00 a.m. that morning. The four-hour program can be heard on-air at 660AM or online at www.wfan.com.
Prior to the first game, Constantine Maroulis-Tony-nominated star of ROCK OF AGES-will perform the national anthem before taking the field with the Broadway stars.

EAGLE POINT — A brash black bear with a taste for horse grain and a nose for mischief crossed paths with country singer Kristy Lee Cook one too many times and found himself on the wrong end of a gun.
Four times the bruin burgled her horse barn in rural Eagle Point, tearing up the stalls and gobbling through garbage cans full of grain before Cook caught up with it on night No. 5 while singing a new tune.
“He was making a nice, huge mess of himself and, obviously, the horses were freaking out, ” Cook says. “I went out my front door and shot him.”

Filipino singer undergoes cosmetic fix for `Glee’
MANILA, Philippines — Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco has had noninvasive cosmetic procedures in preparation for her debut in the second season of the hit TV show “Glee.”
The 18-year-old Charice, whose singing career rocketed after appearing on Ellen DeGeneres’ and Oprah Winfrey’s shows, underwent a 30-minute Thermage procedure, involving an anti-aging skin tightening device, and Botox treatment to make her “naturally round face” more narrow, celebrity cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo told ABS-CBN television.

Cheryl Cole may be forced to film the ‘judges houses’ segment of the X Factor in Britain – as she could still be too poorly to travel.
The judges – Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl and Dannii Minogue – normally jet away to somewhere exotic to whittle down their finalists.
However, as the fragile star continues to recover at home after battling Malaria, it has become clear that producers may have to amend their plans.
