Lee DeWyze talks about winning ‘Idol, ” tour and new — and old — albums
“American Idol” winner Lee DeWyze says his life hasn’t changed much since America chose him over Chrystal Bowersox on May 26 as the winner of the FOX-TV show’s ninth season.
To gear up for the annual American Idols Live tour, DeWyze and the show’s other Top 10 finalists started rehearsing shortly after the finale and have been at it since. The tour kicked off July 1, comes to Atlantic City’s Mark G. Etess Arena today and Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center on Sunday and continues into September.

Allentown Fair finally announces final grandstand act
More than two months after Lehigh Valley Music told you chart-topping country trio Lady Antebellum is coming to Allentown Fair, another source confirmed it today.
At 5 p.m., the fair finally announced Lady Antebellum will complete Allentown Fair’s grandstand lineup with a show Sept. 2.
Opening for the group will be “American Idol” finalist Danny Gokey, whose debut disc, “My Best Days, ” set a digital sales record and had the best first-week sales of any debut male country singer in 18 years.
Fans turn out for ‘hometown girl’ Katie Stevens at arena
BRIDGEPORT — Middlebury native Katie Stevens stepped off the tour bus into a frenzy of fans vying for her autograph before the “American Idol” concert Friday at the Bridgeport Arena at the Harbor Yard.
Looking like the all-American girl next-door in a sun dress paired with a jeans jacket and white sneakers, the 17-year-old, who placed eighth on the Fox-TV show this season, soaked up screams from concert-goers hoping to glimpse their “hometown girl” in person.
