Nigel Lythgoe tweets, “I’m thrilled Zooey Deschanel is guesting on ?#SYTYCD? next week. Meet the top 20.” Zooey is the star of the FOX show new girl and she’ll be joining the panel for  next week’s Green Mile episode.

Phillip Phillips and his brother-in-Law Ben Neil, were in the studio yesterday. Phillip tweeted, “Had a blast in the studio with @thebenneil today. Its coming along, its coming along. Yep”

Simon Cowell Releases Euro 2012 Charity Song – Simon Cowell has recruited actor James Corden and rapper Dizzee Rascal for a special charity song to mark the Euro 2012 soccer tournament. The tune is an updated version of Shout, the unofficial anthem of the England team during the 2010 Fifa World Cup, and will be unveiled this weekend (begs23Jun12).

Matthew Morrison of “Glee” to perform with PSO – The Pittsburgh Symphony has landed “Glee” star Matthew Morrison to replace “American Idol” singer Katharine McPhee, who cancelled in May because the concert interferred with the filming of the TV show “Smash.” He will open the Pops season Sept. 27-30 in Heinz Hall with Marvin Hamlisch conducting. – Read more at The Pittsburgh Post Gazette

‘American Idol’ journey begins in Newark for thousands of hopefuls – NEWARK — Taylor Daneyko’s dad knows how important a dream is, so Thursday he gave his daughter a ride to hers. The retired Devils star and 17-year-old Taylor arrived at the Prudential Center in Newark from their Mendham home around 5:30 a.m. so she could sign up to audition for “American Idol.” “I’ve always wanted to be on stage,” Taylor said, adding that when she was little, she used to sing Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” and cry. – Read more at NJ.com

ACM Lifting Lives Camp In Nashville This Week – On Monday (6/18), Brett Eldredge and David Lee Murphy lead campers in a songwriting session, creating “We’re Having a Party,” an original song based on campers’ personal experiences and inspirations. Yesterday Luke Bryan visited the campers during their recording session, where they recorded “We’re Having a Party” with producer Paul Worley. Later that day, Lauren Alaina dropped by and participated in a karaoke event at Winner’s with the campers. The 29-year-old country star paired a sweet pink dress with an edgy leather jacket and black heels.
