Holmes — who was also spotted rehearsing at CBS Studios yesterday — “has been working on this for a long time, ” the source says. “She is working with the choreographer Tyce Diorio. They want it to seem like she waltzed in and put it together very quickly, but that’s really not the case. This has been a longtime in the making.”

Adam Lambert: ‘This Whole Experience Is Liberating’

Meeting his own American idol.
“I met Madonna and that was pretty wild. Most everybody I’ve met is pretty cool and on the level, but Madonna is just legendary. I was definitely the most starstruck with her. I’ve been a fan of hers since I was a kid. So that’s definitely part of the intimidation factor.”

Rumors that he’s working with Lady Gaga’s producer, RedOne.
“I can say that is true. We have been writing the past couple days and I think we’re going to come out with some amazing tunes. I’m going to have my own sound but I do love Lady Gaga. I’m a huge fan.”

Preparing for his debut album.
“I have been doing a lot of writing, actually. It’s been really exciting. I think something that people can expect from the album is that, lyrically, everything that I’m singing about is true to my life. That’s important to me, its something I can connect to personally. I think this is the album that’s going to be fun and exciting and sexy and also going to have positive hopeful messages.”

Fox announces fall schedule

The net starts with the fall edition of “So You Think You Can Dance” on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m., leading in to the regular series premiere of “Glee” (which was previewed on air in May) at 9 p.m.

Fox originally had announced a two-hour “Dance” on Tuesdays this fall. The show eventually will expand to two hours on the night, starting Oct. 27, a week after the “Hell’s Kitchen” finale.

Paris Torres, Tony Ballissimo dish on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

Paris Torres doesn’t “begrudge” So You Think You Can Dance’s judges for using the fact that many of the season’s other female finalists are also contemporary dancers as a factor in their decision to eliminate her from the show’s fifth season.

“I knew being through it last year that they are typecasting for the show. They need certain personalities, they need certain ethnicities, they need certain styles of dance, ” Torres told reporters during a Friday conference call.

“I am thankful for the opportunity I got on the show, ” Bellissimo told reporters during a separate Friday conference call. “I will definitely come back into the dancing field as a better and stronger trained dancer and definitely watch out for my creative ideas; they’re coming. I have a lot more ideas to come.”

‘So You Think You Can Dance’: Predicting who’ll go home is, like, hard!

It has been five days since the Top 20 on this season’s So You Think You Can Dance first strut their stuff, and I gotta say, I’m pretty stoked: Other than couples Asuka & Vitolio, Jonathan & Karla, and Tony & Paris — i.e. last week’s bottom three couples — the rest of the dancers were all effin’ terrific. But I have to admit, I’m also pretty worried, since it’s clear that given the high caliber of dancing this season, figuring out which high-steppers are going home is going to become really hard, really fast, and I’m supposed to be the “expert” on EW.com’s SYTYCD Prediction Challenge. Instead, I’m just 303rd out of 2, 196-and-counting players, and although I think that’s in something like the 85th percentile (stat geeks, help me out here with the math), I really ought to be doing better.

Katie Holmes on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’: Why not?

There are multiple reports surfacing online that Katie Holmes will perform on So You Think You Can Dance in what’s rumored to be a massive movie musical number by regular SYTYCD choreographer Tyce Diorio and featuring several SYTYCD alums. Although no one connected with the Fox series will comment to EW.com about it, judge and exec producer Nigel Lythgoe let slip to some paparazzi that he’s met with Mrs. Tom Cruise, and that the show has something “very, very, very special” in the works. Some are speculating that the plan is for the number to air on the show’s 100th episode in July, while others are wondering why the program would celebrate that milestone with, of all people, Katie Holmes. Can we say random?
