CBS pondering a talk show for Ryan Seacrest?

This story is 100% speculation but I’m sure Ryan Seacrest is pondering life after “Idol” and might want to dip his toes back into talk show land, where he briefly resided (and failed) in 2004.

Another scenario has surfaced that deserves mentioning – that Ryan might leave his radio home at Clear Channel and jump ship to CBS. The move would be predicated on CBS’ interest in Ryan hosting an afternoon Oprah-type show for the start of the 2011 season. Ryan was very friendly with CBS president/ceo Les Moonves at a recent Lakers game. Some have suggested that they have already had conversations.

The man is set with “Idol” at least two more seasons. His contract with KIIS-FM is over in November.

Carrie Underwood Predicts Wedding Will ‘Be Good No Matter What’

Not a perfect wedding? No problem, says Carrie Underwood, who insists she’s not too worried about her upcoming nuptials – given that she knows the most important things have already been taken care of.

“We’ll just show up, ” the country star told PEOPLE Wednesday night after picking up top honors at the CMT Music Awards about her and hockey player fiancé Mike Fisher. “It’s mainly about family and friends and the two of us. So it’s going to be good no matter what.”

‘Glee’ merchandise to hit stores in fall

Here’s a look at select “Glee” merchandise planned for the fall:

* Fox Consumer Products has partnered with Konami Digital Entertainment on a Wii game called “Karaoke Revolution Glee, ” in which players can sing alongside their favorite “Glee” characters and perform some of the most memorable music scenes from season one.

* Griffin International will develop a “Glee” karaoke machine, boom box and other electronic devices, while Cardinal Industries will launch board games, trivia games and puzzles.

* Hallmark will launch a line of greeting cards with sound that capture the show’s humor.

Glee: Should it Compete for An Emmy as a Comedy?

Even though it has tackled such heavy topics as homophobia and teen pregnancy, Glee will follow in the footsteps of one-hour series Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty by vying for Outstanding Comedy at the Emmys. Eleven years after Ally McBeal became the first dramedy to score a win in the category, Glee is considered a lock to earn a nomination July 8, and it may well win the trophy Aug. 29. But comedy purists are asking: Do hour-long shows — which mix lighthearted moments with full-on tearjerkers — really belong in a category that usually honors traditional sitcoms? A handful of comedy writers polled by EW have their doubts.

So You Think You Can Dance: How Will the Top 11 Work?

But since we have a top 11 instead of a top 10, can we expect a double elimination in the coming week? A rep for Fox says not at this point. And there will be no elimination tonight, since the hour-long show is meant purely to introduce and showcase the top 11. Which is good, because I’m still not entirely convinced that Ashley Galvan and Robert Roldan actually exist.

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Top 11 Standout: Robert Roldan

Well, I think I’ve found my Season 7 “So You Think You Can Dance” boyfriend.

Robert Roldan.

There’s little to no good dance footage of him floating around the web, but if you’ve been watching the show closely, you know this kid is special… and not at all hard to look at.

A close friend of fellow finalist, Billy Bell, Robert talks, in our interview below, about performing alongside Billy in New York and what it was like to have judge Adam Shankman come see their show and then trick them into thinking only one would make this year’s Top 10.

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Top 11 Standout: Adechike Torbert

Adechike Torbert.

Did you watch the clip above?

His “So You Think You Can Dance” Vegas experience was a bit up and down, but as you begin to see with just 2 minutes and 30 seconds of the segment left — when he starts his contemporary solo — the kid is brilliant. His body movement is stunning.

And, by the way, he’s really cool too.

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Top 11 Standout: Lauren Froderman

It’s settled. Lauren Froderman is my Season 7 “So You Think You Can Dance” girlfriend.

As judge Adam Shankman said while watching her solo in Vegas, “in Heaven.”

This girl dances like she just gets it, do you know what I mean?

When I met Lauren and the other Top 11 finalists last week, she had not yet appeared on the show, so I had no clue how much I was going to love, love, love her.

Behind The Scenes At The Hanson/Siobhan Magnus Rehearsal

Siobhan Magnus was arguably the most compelling contestant on “American Idol” Season 9, so it was only a matter of time before she came to the attention of her own personal idols, Hanson–and not just because she’d spoken glowingly about them in almost every one of her interviews (Hanson were her dream “Idol” mentors), or because she had a line from Hanson’s song “The Great Divide” tattooed on her left wrist. Siobhan’s individuality, talent, major pipes, and kooky sense of style also earned the band’s respect; according to Taylor Hanson, it was an honor to be admired by “the cool one” from “Idol.”
