Danny Gokey – I Will Not Say Goodbye
I have heard a few radio programmers say this about the new Danny Gokey: “I really love it– it’s a great song– but it’s SO sad.” I am not sure if anyone has checked the lists of the greatest songs of all time, any genre, any chart–but most of them are sad– especially Country songs! Life is sad sometimes – okay, most of the time. And these are the kinds of songs that can stop you in your tracks and make you think, maybe even cry.
Paula Abdul to Play Wedding Planner on Drop Dead Diva Finale

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ recap: Judging the Judges | ‘So You Think You Can Dance’
As reality TV junkies, we’re all prone to heartbreak. We’ve felt our television-loving souls crumble when Michael Johns was voted off American Idol. When Rupert didn’t even come close to the $1 million on Survivor: Pearl Islands. When Bret Michaels chose Taya over Mindy on Rock of Love Bus. (Just me? Okay. Moving on.)
But after suffering a crushing blow on So You Think You Can Dance last fall, when we learned both Billy and Alex freaking Wong would be unable to compete, I thought we were headed for happier times. Why wouldn’t we be? We had two major contenders all but locked in for season 7 — and one of them was Alex freaking Wong, a contestant who truly lived up to his (fake) middle name. He was a gorgeous dancer who we quickly learned could tackle anything, be it an awe-inspiring contemporary number, a Tyce Broadway routine (a.k.a. the real kiss of death), or a hard-hitting hip-hop dance.
‘So You Think You Can Dance’: Mia makes up words and Nigel mentions soccer
Is anybody else ready for “SYTYCD” performance shows to go back down to one hour? With so many dances and partners per episode. I find myself having a hard time concentrating through all the routines. I like a lot of dancing, but I also liked it when only the top remaining tier of dancers performed twice per episode, sort of something that’s just reserved for the very best dancers who we WANT to see perform twice. There were some dances Wednesday night that I thought simply sufficed: They weren’t so great that they needed to be highlighted nor bad enough to complain about. Maybe I was just bummed because Alex sat the week out with a ruptured Achilles tendon (which gave Nigel a chance to mention David Beckham, and therefore soccer, once again).
Fort Worth, Frisco students earn meeting with Jordin Sparks
The three small girls from Fort Worth stood at the foot of the stage at Dallas’ House of Blues Tuesday afternoon, June 29, as Jordin Sparks and her band towered over them onstage.
The awestruck girls were having trouble deciding which of Sparks’ songs they love most as the band sang and went through a sound check for that night’s performance.
