Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina Say They Won’t Stray From Country Roots

“It’s gonna be a good ol’ country album, ” McCreery said. “I like to have that old flavor in my music, but with a contemporary feel, so we’ll see where that leads me. I think it’ll a good little mix.”

“We’re country kids, so we’re gonna make country albums, ” she said. “I’m definitely going to have a country album, and if it crosses over, that would be great, but I like new, upbeat songs that people can dance to and sing along to, so, yeah, that’s where I’m headed, hopefully.”

“I write my own music, I really like to write, ” Alaina said. “Scotty and I were actually writing a song together back when we were living in the mansion.”

According to this source, Fremantle has not fired Cole and in fact took steps Thursday that will require her to appear shortly at the U.S. consulate in London to apply for a visa so she can perform as a judge. Fremantle executives could not be reached for comment.

Apparently Cole intends to apply for the visa.
