Be Unique! Insights at WDW from American Idol’s Scott McCreery

It’s a bright sunny Memorial Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

I’m stepping inside a little-known alcove called Hollywood Hideaway. It’s a chance to interview American Idol’s newest winner, Scotty McCreery. Everything is hushed. The local Fox affiliate is just getting ready to start its interview.

Just moments earlier, McCreery rode down Hollywood Boulevard in an open limo with Mickey Mouse. Screaming fans are found along Hollywood Boulevard leading up to the entrance of the American Idol Experience theater.

Haley Reinhart Looks Back At Finale Night and Ahead to her Future as an Artist

Imagine this: It’s the week after your American Idol elimination, the top 2 are about to take the stage at the Nokia Theater for the first of a two-part finale when you get a tug on the arm from an Idol minder telling you to be ready — it might be you on that stage instead.

Such was Haley Reinhart’s Tuesday afternoon on May 24, which started out with one simple responsibility, a nice smile as the camera panned on the top 11 finalists, and ended with a flurry of drama as finalist Lauren Alaina blew a vocal cord and, for a minute there, looked like she might not compete.

Kellie Pickler, ‘Tough’ – Lyrics Uncovered

Kellie Pickler‘s new single ‘Tough‘ hit radio just last week, and in this tune, the former ‘American Idol‘ opens up about the hardships she’s seen in her life.

We caught up with Pickler, who spilled to us that the song was actually written specifically for her by famed songwriter Leslie Satcher. “Actually, I had no idea that she was going to do it, ” Pickler reveals to Taste of Country. “I just met Leslie not too long ago, and we sat down. We’ve written a little bit together. I was telling her a lot about my life and just some personal things that I’ve been through that I have not shared with anyone. She kind of took my story home and made ‘Tough.’ She took my life story and some things that I said and she said she locked herself in a room and wouldn’t come out until she wrote Kellie’s first single.”

As Cheryl and Simon go to war, his people claim she asked for £2.5m to return to British X-Factor

Only a month ago Simon Cowell told the world Cheryl Cole was ‘special’.

Last night, however, the TV mogul and the pop star were at war – through their ‘people’ – amid claims her advisers demanded £2.5million for her to return to the UK X Factor after her shock axing from the U.S. version of the show.

It came after ITV issued a statement confirming that the Girls Aloud star will not feature in its judging panel for the TV talent contest.

Cowell himself has remained unusually silent on the issue – other than a subtle reference on last night’s Britain’s Got Talent, where he also raised eyebrows by arriving for a turn as guest judge in a suit and unbuttoned shirt which bared his hairy chest.

Simon Cowell getting nervous about American ‘X Factor’

Simon Cowell is no longer the picture of confidence he was when he left “American Idol” last year to launch the American version of “The X Factor.” In fact, sources close to “The X Factor” confirm that Cowell is increasingly nervous about the show’s success here in the United States.

“There are two things he was not counting on, ” the source said. “One, he never thought ‘American Idol’ would do well this year, much less better than when he was on the show. And, he definitely wasn’t counting on ‘The Voice’ being a hit.

Simon Cowell Attracts Almost 11 Million for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Return

LONDON – Simon Cowell’s heavily trailed return to Britain’s Got Talent Monday night helped the show to break the 10 million barrier for the first time, according to overnight ratings.

The live semi-final drew almost 11 million viewers, with fans tuning in to see Cowell on air for the first time in the series, on a show broadcast just hours after he announced that Cheryl Cole would not be presenting X-Factor UK.

The show, which saw 12-year Ronan Parke and Paul Gbegbaje go through to the final, aired over 90 minutes from 7.30 p.m. on ITV1, attracting an average audience of 10.9 million, over a million more than earlier episodes.
