AT&T Brings Fans Closer to Idol Favorites

As part of the finale activities, AT&T will host a first-ever free AT&T Idol Celebration – on-site in Los Angeles – just before the final performance show on Tuesday, May 24 8/7c. The celebration begins at 1 p.m. PT. Former Idol contestants scheduled to perform include: Kimberly Caldwell (Season 2), Diana DeGarmo (Season 3), Bo Bice (Season 4), Ace Young (Season 5), Blake Lewis (Season 6) and Jason Castro (Season 7). Talent subject to change.

Lost backpack almost doomed ‘Idol’ homecoming video

“He said, ‘Dixie, Man, I’ve got something really, really important to ask you.’ He said, ‘I’m sitting here watching footage of the show at Coolidge and I can see a backpack sitting on the stage so I know it exists, but we can’t find it.’”

Fuller said he asked Robinson to describe the backpack. When told it was orange and black, Fuller said, “It’s sitting right here on my desk.”

“That has about 50 percent of the footage we shot, ” Robinson said, according to Fuller. “I need that yesterday.”

American Idol Season 9′ winner, Lee DeWyze, was in Malaysia for the very first time as part of his Asian Tour, and was cool enough to spare a moment to share his roller-coaster experiences since achieving his dream of becoming a full time musician.

Q: How has the tour been so far?

Lee DeWyze: The tour’s been great; it’s been fun to go different places obviously and play for the fans in other places, that’s been a real treat.

Cheryl Cole: X-Factor Auditions

Cheryl Cole arrives at the Sears Centre on Thursday (May 19) for X-Factor auditions in Chicago, Illinois.

The 27-year-old singer and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul get along quite well together according to Simon Cowell. “They get on great, ” he told the Daily Mail. “Cheryl adores Paula.She’s never worked with her before and I’d always spoken about how much fun she was so there’s a bit of a love fest going on at the moment between those two, but that will soon change.”

Robbie Williams To Join Rival Show To X Factor?

Robbie Williams is in the frame to join new BBC singing show The Voice, which is being billed as a rival show to The X Factor.

Robbie’s Take That bandmate Gary Barlow has already signed up to be a judge on The X Factor and a source told The Sun the competitiveness between the pair would make for great television. “They still have a healthy rivalry and this would kick in if they were on opposing shows. Robbie would be great, particularly with his rivalry with Gary, ” the insider is quoted as saying.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ lines up Black Eyed Peas, Go-Go’s, Sara Evans

“Dancing With the Stars” will drag out the announcement of this year’s winner in a two-hour show at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

But at least the ABC dance contest will fill that show with big-name acts: the Black Eyed Peas, the Go-Go’s and singer Sara Evans, who competed on “Dancing” in season three.

The Black Eyed Peas will perform what ABC calls “the exclusive television premiere of their new single, ‘Don’t Stop the Party, ’ live.”

The Go-Go’s will perform “We Got the Beat” in what ABC says is the band’s first TV performance in more than five years.

And Evans will perform a song from her new album, “Stronger, ” and it sounds as if that number will be the first hit, “A Little Bit Stronger.”
