Jennifer Hudson and the Top 11 Idols are set for the ABC Good Morning America Friday Summer Concert series

“Good Morning America” today announced its sizzling 2011 Summer Concert Series lineup with the hottest chart-topping acts in the country and the biggest names in music, a mix of the best pop, country and nostalgia acts around. There is something for everyone—from mega-watt stars including Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Hudson; to pop sensations Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj, all Top 11 American Idol contestants, Taio Cruz, Florence and The Machine, and The Goo Goo Dolls; to country superstars Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert; plus the best nostalgia with The GO-GO’s in their final television performance, and Debbie Gibson and Tiffany on stage together for the first time.

“GMA’s Summer Concert Series” kicks off on May 27 in an exclusive television event with the revolutionary Lady Gaga performing songs from her new album “Born This Way.” This first concert will be a ticketed event, details to follow.

Jennifer Lopez on Returning to ‘Idol’ Next Year: ‘I Don’t Know’

As the focus shifted away from family life to her career, where the “American Idol” judge claims she’s at the point where touring is finally an option, Jennifer kept things open when asked if she would remain a judge on the hit reality series. “I don’t know, ” she said with a nervous laugh. “There’s so many things going on, I just don’t know what’s going to happen. There’s a lot of amazing opportunities.”

Scotty McCreery gets a save … by mistake

RALEIGH – Scotty McCreery of Garner, who is a national household name because of his success on the “American Idol” television show, picked up an unofficial baseball pitching save in The News & Observer for the Garner baseball team last Friday.

McCreery pitched on the Garner junior varsity in 2010 and is on the Trojans’ varsity roster this spring, but he hasn’t been able to play this season because of his success on the Los Angeles-based television show.

But other than making a long basketball shot from a balcony in Los Angeles, McCreery, a junior, hasn’t displayed his athletic prowess this season.

Award-winning singer-actress Jennifer Hudson stretched her arms and legs Tuesday with dozens of students at a Southwest Side school to help promote physical fitness.

Promoting the third annual Weight Watchers Walk-It Challenge, Hudson –– a national ambassador of Weight Watchers –– encouraged the students at Namaste Charter School to maintain a healthy lifestyle and exercise.

Jordin Sparks Says Breakup Led to Weight Loss

The American Idol winner, 21, talks about how heartbreak inspired her to lose weight Jennifer Hudson-style.

“I’m actually single right now, so that is the thing that’s changed [when I lost weight], ” she tells me before performing for an audience that includes Kris Allen, Aubrey O’Day, Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson and Linda Davis, the mother of Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott.

“I turned 21 in December, and you know how everybody starts thinking about New Year’s resolutions by the end of December, and all that stuff? I was like ‘I’m going to start right now.’ I’m going to start right now, and I’m going to go hike that mountain that’s in my backyard. I stuck with it. I decided to make it a priority instead of just talking about it.”

After coming so far on DWTS, Romeo has learned a few things. Mostly dance-related, but still…he’s learned a lot. “It definitely changed my life. A lot of people don’t know I was that kid who was afraid to dance. I didn’t even dance at my own prom. I turned down a lot of movies because I didn’t want to dance, ” he reveals to us. “And now I just think this has definitely made me not only a better person, but a better dancer. I’ve been preparing for my wedding day whenever that is.”

“To be honest, I feel good, ” Romeo told reporters after the show. “If this was last week, my head would be down. It’s one of those things [if] you go out with a bang, you have no regrets. I gave it 110% yesterday. I felt it was one of our best dances ever and to still get eliminated it shows the level of competition of this year. I’m just really grateful to be part of this season.”

Former X Factor contestant Gamu ‘delighted’ after winning right to stay in UK

Former X Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu and her family have won their immigration appeal to stay in the country.

The 18-year-old, her two brothers and her mother Nokuthula Ngazana, from Zimbabwe, had been refused leave to remain in the UK by the Home Office.

On Wednesday the family’s lawyer, Frances Farrell, confirmed that the appeal against the decision, which had been heard at the Immigration Court in Glasgow earlier this year, had been successful.

Mrs Farrell said: “We are delighted to announce that the court has allowed Gamu, her brothers and her mother’s appeal.
