The second day of X Factor live auditions are taping in Los Angeles tonight. @XFactorUSA tweets, “LA Reid: I’m here because I believe in my soul there is a superstar or group out there, bigger than anyone we have seen before.” O rly?

And there’s a special guest in the audience tonight, “Adele’s here in the audience today watching the auditions! #adelesgotthexfactor.” Adele!

Jack Black confirms finale appearance with Casey Abrams

Jack Black confirms to the AJC that he’ll be teaming up with Casey Abrams on the American Idol finale. He says it’s supposed to just be him but that he’s sure Kyle Glass could move his schedule around if Idol wanted his band, Tenacious D.

Casey is is favorite S10 contestant, “Casey was my favorite, actually, and not just because he gave me a shout out. I was a little in awe of his talent; he’s so fearless and relaxed and he always looked like he was having a blast.”

‘Dancing With the Stars’: Will injured Ralph Macchio rally for week 8?

It was just last week that 49-year-old Ralph Macchio started showing signs of fatigue on “Dancing With the Stars, ” when the actor’s rehearsal package included him popping aspirin to alleviate pain in his knees.

Well, that problem may have caught up with him. Macchio suffered a ruptured Baker’s cyst on the back of his knee, prompting him to lose four days’ worth of rehearsal time with partner Katrina Smirnoff.

Have missed days of rehearsal this week, ” Macchio announced, via Twitter, on May 9. “Hoping to be able to perform tonight!”

Ryan Murphy Explains ‘Glee’s’ Use of Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ (Exclusive)

“There’s a rule for it that’s explained in the show, ” Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter. “The [glee club] is hired to perform songs for the prom and they were told by the principal to please do popular songs that the kids know.”

Murphy noted that Glee’s “Friday” cover — performed by Puck (Mark Salling), Artie (Kevin McHale) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) — offers a different take since it’s performed by males.

“It’s songs that supposedly 17-year-olds are performing for other 17-year-olds, ” he noted. “I think younger kids have a definite reaction to that song.”
