Idol Headlines for 05/02/11 – The Evening Edition

First Listen To Steven Tyler’s Debut Solo Single “(It) Feels So Good” [AUDIO]

After spending 30 years fronting what many call America’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band, Aerosmith frontman and “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler is readying to release his first ever solo single “(It) Feels So Good.” The “Demon of Screamin’” will unveil the full song exclusively with “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Monday, May 9, but we have your first listen to the song with this 30-second snippet from Amazon.

The easygoing, upbeat song was written by Steven and musician/songwriter Marti Frederiksen, who’s well known in the industry for his work with Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe and Daughtry. Steven shot the video for “(It) Feels So Good” last week and will reportedly premiere exclusively on “American Idol” in the coming weeks, much like Jennifer Lopez‘s video for “On The Floor” did.

Tune into “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Monday, May 9 to hear the premiere of “(It) Feels So Good” and click here to pre-order the track from Amazon!

‘American Idol’ Creator Simon Fuller’s 2010 CKX Compensation: $14.2 Million

NEW YORK – 19 Entertainment founder and former CEO Simon Fuller received a compensation package worth more than $14 million from 19 owner CKX Inc. last year – handily exceeding the pay packages of other company executives even though he transitioned into an advisor role, according to a regulatory filing late Monday.

Fuller’s compensation for 2010 amounted to nearly $14.2 million, up from $2.5 million in 2009, the CKX filing shows.

The American Idol creator’s salary amounted only to $28, 425, and he received no bonus. But nearly $2.3 million in severance and nearly $11.9 million of payments as part of a consulting agreement with 19 boosted his compensation.
