Melinda Doolittle critiques the ‘American Idol’ Top 9 for HitFix

I. MISS. SIMON.

Maybe it’s because I’m in a very punchy mood tonight, but I thought the judges were way too nice. So, in honor of Simon, I have written a brutally honest review with the help of my closest girlfriends. Enter at your own risk.

Jacob Lusk “Man In The Mirror”

I totally respected him for choosing a song he believed in, however, I was a little distracted by all of the hip thrusting in the Saturday Night Fever suit. Why does the man in the mirror have to be dressed in all white? Very cool to have Saidah Garrett there, but not sure their pitch matched up that well. Also, I believe skipping is hazardous to your vibrato. Not even gonna discuss the booty bump with Ryan at the end of the show.

Kellie Pickler dishes on her recent tweets

But judging from a rather lengthy interview, and that she’s working with Miranda Lambert’s producer Frank Liddell, the next Pickler album might find the artist going in a new, perhaps more traditional direction.

Here are some recent Pickler tweets and what she had to say about them in her adorable, North Carolina drawl.

Tweet: In my sanctuary — studio — Kyle’s playin on a song we wrote 2gether last mothers day. This song is so special 2 me. Can’t wait 2 share it w/u.

The X Factor Judge L.A. Reid Talks Justin Bieber Rumors, Says Simon Knows Best

Reid, who actually signed Justin Bieber to his record deal, addressed the rumors that the Biebs is up for the job by saying, “That would probably be really, really fun, [but] I don’t know. I don’t have a preference.” He did, however, deny British media reports that he accidentally confirmed Cheryl Cole as a judge during an interview. He explained, “It’s a complete falsehood. I never had an interview about it. There have been many, many names mentioned…but no decisions made beyond myself and Simon at this point.”
