Fox’s ‘X Factor’ to Have Two Hosts (Exclusive)

“Our job is to make sure the two shows are as distinct as possible, ” she tells THR. “For example: We’re making sure there are two entirely different teams with no overlap in terms of individuals who are working on both shows. And from a format and tonal standpoint, they’re very different. In terms of casting the judges, again, we’re making sure the looks are different. And I can reveal that we’ll have two hosts on The X Factor.”

Simon revealed there would be two hosts in his interview with Pier Morgan that aired on CNN last night. Watch it HERE.

We find Carrie Underwood’s dark side

Q. What do you think of Scotty’s voice?

A. I would love to hear him sing something different to find out who he really is.

Q. You don’t think this is who he really is? How could he be anything but a country singer with that voice?

A. He’s so good at that, but I don’t want to be confused about anyone I hear on the radio.

Q. You’re the biggest person in the field he is about to go into. Do you think in terms of him being the next big thing?

A. It’s so hard to predict that. I’ve known writers who tried to get into singing and couldn’t make it, and I wonder how they’re not kicking all our butts. For some reason, the chips fall where they may. Do I think I’m the best out there? No way. Not even close. But things are falling my way.

American Idol Alum Kimberly Caldwell Talks Debut Album and Post-Idol Experience

Kimberly Caldwell knows full well how it feels to be Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia. Well, not exactly. They are, afterall, three different people and last time I checked “Quantum Leap” was just a TV show. But back in 2003, Caldwell, like Adedapo and Megia last week, was sent home by American Idol voters after not gaining enough votes to stick around in the competition. Breaking the cliche of so many American Idol contestants, Caldwell has managed to consistently stay in the spotlight post-Simon. The Texan has served as an entertainment correspondent (notably with TV Guide Network) throughout the years, and on April 19 she will release her long-awaited debut album Without Regret.
