OFFSTAGE: Why Carrie Underwood Doesn’t Do Love Songs – Carrie Underwood might do love songs once in a while, but she admitted in a recent radio interview that for the most part, those are just not part of her repertoire. “I’ve heard a lot of, ‘Oh, gosh, she’s married now. I would expect her to write a lot of love songs,'” Underwood said. But, she added, “Being onstage is acting. You get to be larger than life and larger than yourself. The whole thing to me is just a big chance to just have fun — being able to sing a song like ‘Good Girl.’ Obviously, that’s not what I’m feeling in my life right now. I’m extremely happy, but I don’t do love songs for the most part. It just doesn’t happen. It feels weird. That’s just a personal thing to me. I’d rather live that in my real life.” – Read more at CMT
