Jennifer Hudson Stops By MTV

Jennifer was kind of tired because she’d been doing press interviews all day, but she was still super sweet to everyone. I took a quick behind-the-scenes shot so you guys could see what goes into the preparation for celeb interviews. They usually come in with a posse–managers, makeup artists, assistants, etc, so the room is kind of tight. In the photo above, Tamar asked Jennifer ten things she’s currently obsessed with, so she had to write a few down so she wouldn’t forget! I can’t give away everything she said, but let’s just say she loves America’s Next Top Model more than the average person.

‘Idol’ Alum Anthony Federov in Tokyo: ‘It’s Pretty Crazy Out Here’

“It’s pretty crazy out here, ” Federov, who’s in Japan starring a production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, tells the Hollywood Reporter’s Idol Worship. “Just before the end of the movie’s first act, the entire theater started shaking… The balcony above us was shaking… Everyone went outside and we were allowed back into the theater, but there was an after shock and then they cancelled the show.”

Federov reports that “other than taxis, all public transportation shut down.” His last communication to THR was from the city’s enormous glass-structured Tokyo International Forum, where he and cast members were waiting to go back to their hotel. “Luckily we are all okay, ” he said.

‘American Idol’ Prediction Results: The Experts Nailed Ashthon Jones’ Exit

We nailed it! Well, most of us did anyway. It wasn’t that hard to predict who was going to go home on Thursday night’s (March 10) “American Idol” elimination episode. After future hair product model Ashthon Jones face planted on a cover of Diana Ross’ “When You Tell Me That You Love Me, ” it seemed pretty obvious that she would be the first of the top 13 to be sent packing.

An Open Letter to Simon Cowell: ‘American Idol’ Needs You Back

We know you just told Piers Morgan that “American Idol” is a “better show than last year.” But we’ve got something to say too: Come back. Please?

Sure, the show’s ratings still top the charts among 18-to-49-year-old viewers, even if they’re not what they once were.

And we admit we’ve been infatuated with Steven Tyler, with his hot-pink shirts, bleeped-out outbursts and quirky critiques — like this one to the contestant who’s a dockworker by day: “Holy shipbuilder!”

But he and the rest of this year’s panel utterly lack your unique gift for honest appraisal. Season 10 is a gentler, kinder “Idol, ” all about politeness and misplaced encouragement that would never have been tolerated under your watch.

‘American Idol’ Opinion: 5 Reasons Why The Judges’ Save Is Lame

On last night’s “American Idol” results show, it was revealed that the controversial Judges’ Save–i.e., that Get Out Of Jail Free card that the judges can use only once per season, to salvage one promising contestant from unjust elimination–is back this year. Of course, the Save wasn’t used on this season’s first castoff, Ashthon Jones, but this announcement was, supposedly, good news for the remaining top 12 contestants. I, however, beg to differ.

American Idol Season 10: Exclusive Interview with Brett Loewenstern

From the very beginning of the season on American Idol, Brett Loewenstern stood out – in all the right ways. Not only did he have a unique singing voice and style, he treated everyone around him with respect and love. When Jacee Badaeux was kicked out of his group in Hollywood, Brett welcomed him with open arms, further helping him to win the judges over. He made it to the Top 24 but his rendition of “Light My Fire” didn’t do it for America and he was eliminated without a shot at a wild card spot. Today, we spoke to Brett in an exclusive interview about his Idol experience.

Blake Shelton talks ‘The Voice’ (and the start of his rivalry with fellow coach Cee Lo Green) — EXCLUSIVE

Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, and Adam Levine, the four “coaches” for the upcoming Mark Burnett-produced NBC reality singing competition The Voice, have been in L.A. this week getting to know one another and doing photo shoots in preparation for the start of taping next week. (The series debuts April 26.) “When you get down to it, sure, it’s another reality create-a-star-on-television America-votes type show, but the process of getting there is like nothing else I’ve ever seen, ” says Shelton, a former Nashville Star judge and Clash of the Choirs choir director. “Every different level along the way just creates more entertainment. And what I love about it, and was talking to Adam about, is it’s not like you’ll see on American Idol where they build this story and there’s drama and it’s sad. This is all just so much fun.”
