Lee DeWyze official website has confirmed a concert at Sacred Heart College in Fairfield CT for February 23. But it’s actually March 23. Tickets go on sale in February.

‘Glee’ Goes to Fox Stations in Weekend Syndication

Fox Television Stations and Twentieth Television have reached a deal for the weekend syndication rights on Glee.

The show has been cleared on Fox stations in top markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Houston, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Baltimore and will begin airing in fall 2013.

Reruns of 20th Century Fox Television’s Glee have already begun airing on Oxygen, which snapped up the cable syndication rights last year for $500, 000 an episode.

Jennifer Hudson was ‘honored’ to pay tribute to Aretha Franklin

Singer Jennifer Hudson said she and Florence Welch bonded big time during their part in the Grammy Awards show’s salute to a common influence, the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.

“I just love her energy, ” Hudson said of Welch after they’d rehearsed the career-spanning medley of Franklin signature songs on Thursday. “I love how much she loves music, and we just feed off each other — it’s like a magnet.”

Atlantic Records/Word Entertainment’s Jason Castro is ready to heat up the final run of the Winter Jam 2011 Tour Spectacular “American Bible Society Pre-jam Party.” Joining previously announced special guests Fervent recording artists Chris August and Sidewalk Prophets, Castro will be warming up the stage for Christian Music favorites Francesca Battistelli, KJ-52, Kutless, NewSong, RED, The David Crowder Band and The Newsboys and speaker Tony Nolan. He will embark on this nationwide tour beginning on February 17 in Baton Rouge, LA.

‘Glee’ Music Supervisor Says Original Songs Are Coming To Show

The recently formed Guild of Music Supervisors held its first awards ceremony at a brunch preceding the Grammys on Sunday. In addition to awarding trophies, .biz has learned that Fox’s hit program “Glee” will likely have an original song in an episode this season and next season there may be a show devoted entirely to original music.

According to “Glee” music supervisor PJ Bloom, who was at the ceremony, it is a “possibility” that next season there will be an episode based around a class assignment whereby each chorus member would be tasked with composing an original song
