Another Oscar Winner Wants to Be on Glee!

“That would be so cool, ” Jennifer Hudson just told me about the possibility of popping up at McKinley High. “It’s such an amazing show, so hopefully, ”

Who would she play? “Maybe the substitute music teacher, ” she smiled.

I caught up with the Dreamgirls songstress at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she was rehearsing the two songs she’ll be singing at Saturday’s Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons. By her side was the event’s legendary host, Clive Davis.

Ukrainian ‘Idol’ Chick — Internet Love Connection

The Ukrainian chick on Wednesday night’s “American Idol” is about to celebrate a 2 year anniversary with her American husband … a guy she met on a website that helps “western” men find “Eastern European” brides.

Inessa Lee — a belly dancer who’s lived in the Ukraine for most of her life — tells TMZ she met her husband on a specialty “dating” site called Elena’s Models.

It’s technically NOT a mail order bride website — though, according to the site, it “specializes in introducing Russian and Eastern European women with western men.”

The site also brags the ladies they represent have high moral and family values.

Inessa tells us the Internet love gamble paid off for her … even though her attempt on “Idol” didn’t.

Mike & Carrie: Did we know deep down this was coming?

OTTAWA — They say that when Mike Fisher slipped the five-carat, $150, 000 diamond ring on to Carrie Underwood’s well-manicured finger, hearts broke all over Ottawa. With his strong Christian faith and his reputation for good works, not to mention his broad shoulders and tousled hair, the Senators forward was a favourite with the ladies.

But that wasn’t the only reason his marriage to country superstar Underwood broke hearts: Any student of history knows that when a Canadian hockey player marries a blond American, a trade south of the border can’t be far behind (yes, we’re looking at you, Wayne and Janet Gretzky).

ACM CEO Believes Carrie Underwood Should Have Been Included In EOTY Category

As for Carrie’s fans, Romeo is sympathetic. “She’s our two-time Entertainer of the Year, ” he says. “Do I think she should be in there? Yes. But I’m just one vote. The board made the right decision to go to eight. We tried it, but found it to be too much. The question you ask is, ‘Are we giving up two-and-a-half minutes to monologue and mentions I could be using to give a newcomer the opportunity to play music?’ That’s the balance you have to strike.”

Has Melody Tent’s manager in her corner

Tony Raine doesn’t usually follow American Idol. The Chatham resident and long-time general manager-production manager of the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis has been in the music business long enough to know that the type of music promoted by the show isn’t usually his cup of tea.

But when he saw 20-year-old Marstons Mills resident Siobhan Magnus on the show while he was in Wales managing singer Carlene Carter’s tour last summer, something caught his attention. It was the Edward Gorey tattoo on her arm.

“That kind of piqued my curiosity, ” Raine said, noting that Gorey’s work is not exactly mainstream. “If she’s got that tattoo on her arm, there’s obviously some artistic depth there.”
