‘Idol’ trade-offs – Since winning “American Idol” in 2009, Kris Allen’s life has changed. Although his music career has taken off, there still are some trade-offs. “You have to think about things differently. Dancing’s Derek Hough: We Were Not Expecting to Get a 27 – I thought our cha-cha went very well. There are times when certain dances and certain music come together and it’s just magic. I think that’s what happened with Amber. It was timing. Everything just clicked. But we definitely were not expecting to get a 27. I was like, “Why?!
