Kelly Clarkson Trades Bridal Duties for a Trip to Peru
Clarkson, 31, recently visited coffee farms and performed a special set for farmers and their families in Peru. “It was so funny cause I didn’t know if they were gonna like my songs. They would sing along, I think we did like a mini-set for them, so we did a few songs down there. They were dancing, it was just so cool! I felt like I was just in a movie,” Clarkson tells PEOPLE of the performance. “I was dancing with them!” Her trip, part of Green Mountain Coffee’s Great Coffee, Good Vibes, Choose Fair Trade campaign, was an eye-opening experience for Clarkson.

Taylor Hicks performs at Railroad Park for Birmingham’s Empowerment Week (photos) – At 2 p.m., Hicks teamed with Martie Duncan, a Birmingham party planner, for a cooking demo at MetroCooking Houston, a food expo in Texas. Hicks sang a little with Duncan and helped her to prepare some fall recipes, according to Duncan’s Facebook page. By 6:30 p.m., Hicks was on stage at Birmingham’s Railroad Park, performing for a crowd of hundreds as part of the city’s Empowerment Week and 50 Years Forward campaign. Gip Gipson, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and Red Mountain Theatre Company were on the evening’s agenda, as well.
