What more can you want as a songwriter? That is what you do. You write these songs with your heart invested in it and as an expression of who you are and hope to be. ‘American Idol’: Candice Glover on New Music, ‘Idol’ Finale, Possible Reality Show – As far as new music, the soulful songstress said fans can expect a fresh sound that is “a bit more in your face” but will still maintain elements of her signature R&B vibe. “Music Speaks’ was an amazing album. It was my baby. It was the first album that I ever made,” she said. “But this album, I want to take more chances and I want to say what’s really on my mind.” Glover also explained that she has had her hand in writing more of the songs on her sophomore release but that she’s also teamed up with some hit-making pros. “I was in the studio the other day with one of Chris Brown’s writers and he has exactly the sound and the feel that I’m going for. Bradbury said touring with McCreery, who won Season 10 of “American Idol,” was a lot of fun. Bradbury said she she gets asked a lot about an “American Idol”-“The Voice” rivalry, but she claims there isn’t one. Simon Cowell to Co-Produce ‘The Fifth Beatle’ as Feature Film Adaptation – IM Global and Simon Cowell‘s Syco Entertainment will co-produce a feature film version of graphic novel The Fifth Beatle. Vivek J. Tiwary wrote the screenplay based on his graphic novel based on the life of the Beatles’ manager, Brian Epstein. A director is expected to be named shortly. The project was unveiled in Cannes. Paul McCartney once said: “If anyone was the fifth Beatle, it was Brian.” A project description says Epstein “overcame seemingly insurmountable odds and personal demons while bringing the Beatles to the world’s attention and kicking off a cultural revolution in the process.” – Read more at Hollywood Reporter
