MIRANDA LAMBERT TO DUET WITH BLAKE SHELTON, PLUS PERFORMANCES BY ELI YOUNG BAND AND RASCAL FLATTS, ON “ACM PRESENTS: AN ALL-STAR SALUTE TO THE TROOPS,” TO BE BROADCAST TUESDAY, MAY 20 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK – A duet with Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, as well as performances by Eli Young Band and Rascal Flatts, have been added to the country superstar performance lineup for ACM PRESENTS: AN ALL-STAR SALUTE TO THE TROOPS, to be broadcast Tuesday, May 20 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and hosted by NCIS: LOS ANGELES stars LL COOL J and Chris O’Donnell. American Idol’s C.J. Harris & Dexter Roberts Have Been Friends for Years – “We’ve been friends for about five years,” C.J. Harris told reporters of fellow contestant Dexter Roberts. “We performed our duet [“Alright” by Darius Rucker] back at home.” Harris, 23, and Roberts, 22, found each other randomly, and were brought together by music, while on spring break in Panama City. “I met him on the beach,” said Roberts. “I was playing the guitar, and he just walked up and asked to play with me.” The two remained close through the years, though they didn’t tell each other they were auditioning for Idol – because they just assumed the other would be in line. – Read more at People

Bowersox to LGBT teens: It’s OK – “Honestly, I didn’t think it was really important for me myself to come out,” Bowersox said in a phone interview with The Blade a few days ahead of her free concert Saturday night at the H Lounge at Hollywood Casino, 777 Hollywood Blvd. “I didn’t think it was a big deal.” The struggles of LGBTQ teenagers facing personal and family crises over their sexuality, however, convinced the Toledo singer-songwriter she should acknowledge her bisexuality . “It was for kids in high school who are not able to fully accept and love themselves for who they are or for the families who are divided over something as silly as someone’s sexual orientation,” she said. – Read more at Toledo Blade
