Jennifer Hudson, Pentatonix set for typhoon victims benefit at MSG – Jennifer Hudson, Pentatonix and A Great Big World will join artists of Filipino descent – including Black Eyed Peas’ apl.de.ap, “American Idol” runner-up Jessica Sanchez and Oscar-winning “Frozen” songwriter Robert Lopez – for a benefit for Filipino victims of Typhoon Haiyan. The concert will be Tuesday at the Theater at Madison Square Garden and also feature appearances by Dr. Mehmet Oz and Filipina singer Charice. Majesty Rose Was Crying Backstage on American Idol’ – American Idol contestant Majesty Rose put on a brave face for the cameras while receiving a harsh critique Wednesday night, but afterwards she worked hard to hold back the tears. Right now I just want to cry,” Rose, 21, told PEOPLE backstage. “I performed last, and I just came out of it so you guys get the raw Majesty.” “You practice and you’re crafting this song all week like, ‘Oh yeah, this is good. ‘American Idol’: 5 Things You Didn’t See on Top 12 Night – Every audience has its own personality, but this gathering almost didn’t have one at all. Most days, Idol audiences stand for every performance – granted, they are asked to do so by the man who does the pre-show warm-up, Cory Almeida. Wednesday night, the seated portion of the theater remained in their seats for every contestant, rising to their feet only at the end of some select performances. American Idol’s Kristen O’Connor: “Beautiful Disaster” Wasn’t My First Choice – Though she was the first Top 13 contestant to be eliminated on Season 13 of American Idol,Kristen O’Connor says she wouldn’t have done anything differently — even though she was talked out of her original song choice for what ended up being her final performance. “They ask us to send a list of three songs that we think we’re going to sing, and it actually wasn’t on my list,” O’Connor tells TVGuide.com. “But then the producers were like, ‘Oh, we think this would be a really good song.’ They got really excited about it, and so I got really excited about it. … It was kind of a last-minute type decision, but I was happy with it.” – Read more at TV Guide

Phillip Phillips: At home on the road – His sophomore album will be released this spring, and Phillips is feeling a bit of pressure to follow up the success of his platinum-selling debut, The World From the Side of the Moon, with its hit singles Home and Gone, Gone, Gone. “It’s something I don’t want to mess up on,” says Phillips by phone from New York City, where he is taking a break from working on the album, on which he has written or co-written every song. “I’m going to be proud of it. Eighteen alumni have seen their debut records go at least certified gold, and nearly four dozen more have issued some sort of studio release. One of them — Pia Toscano (who came in ninth place in 2011’s Season 10) — and her singer/songwriter/producer partner, Jared Lee, swing through Lansing this Friday as part of their DUO tour. Keith Urban Launches Line of Haiti-Manufactured Graphic Tees – Sure, Simon Cowell and his signature black crew-neck tees may seem ancient to American Idol viewers, now that Keith Urban is officially the singing show’s reigning T-shirt king. And now, the country singer has launched his own line of graphic tees. By Keith Urban — which offers $60 tees for men and women featuring paint cans, se ahorses, key chains and American flag-printed trailers — sees the Idol judge partnering with artist/fashion photographer Raphael Mazzucco.
