Haggard, Underwood, Strait Join ACM Military Benefit Show – The Academy of Country Music and dick clark productions have announced ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops, a concert event featuring some of the biggest names in Country music paying tribute to our armed forces, will be broadcast Tuesday, May 20 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The special will be taped Monday, April 7 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Merle Haggard, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum and The Band Perry are the first artists to be added to the all-star lineup of performers for the event. New CMT app tunes your smartphone to country – Country was already cool before this new CMT Artists app came along, but now it’s even more in tune with mobile fans. The CMT Artists App, which launches on iOS today, has music videos, interviews, news and social media connections for country stars. Fans can track their current favorites and discover new ones, while musicians can use the app to connect with fans, too. Exclusive to the new free app at its launch is a five-song performance by Danielle Bradbery, the 17-year-old winner of the fourth season of The Voice.
