Tessanne Chin Tournament of Roses Parade Details – The Voice will be represented in the Rose Bowl parade this year, and a Tessanne Chin website has details about the winner’s special float. It’s called “Singing the Dream,” is 55 feet long and will be decorated with red carnations, red, white and hot pink roses, yellow lilies and purple irises. Musical notes made of yellow strawflower and orange lentils and a “star explosion” design on the back of the float will be created from yellow and white orchids, crushed coconut ad yellow strawflower. So You Think You Can Dance introduces Crew-Battle Round for Season 11 – Executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, reveals on twitter that there will be a crew-battle round on SYTYCD. The show is currently looking for crews of 4-6 dancers to compete. Via Twitter.
Father of The Voice – RICHARD Chin has taken a step back recently, observing the admiration and love poured out by Jamaicans on his daughter, Tessanne Chin, winner of the NBC talent show The Voice. But it was not so long ago that he was the standard-bearer for his family. After starting out playing drums for Jamaica’s first all-female (plus one male) band, Ingrid Chin and the Carnations, he formed the methodical E+MC2, capitalising on a version of Einstein’s famous relativity equation, whch experimented with a fusion of Caribbean rhythms. One of his bandmates in E+MC2 was vocalist/jazz musician Harold Davis. Equally important was Chin’s contribution to the sound/lighting environment at local stage shows. He started his own sound production company, Klariti Productions, in 1996, joining Paul Doyle’s Audiofon as the industry leaders in the sound, light and generator rental business. – Read more at Jamaica Observer

But before his baby is due on February 28 and daddy duty kicks in, the 54-year-old music mogul was seen out for some personal time – getting his adrenaline flowing on a jet ski in Barbados on Saturday. His pregnant girlfriend – who is also on the vacation – was nowhere in sight.
